I loved everything about this beautiful house.. Very welcoming hosts, extremely comfortable and relaxing environment, spotlessly clean and very stylish rooms. The breakfast was delicious and nothing was too much trouble for Yvonne and Richard. We will be returning for a much longer stay.

Only brealfast available Scaffold on outside of building. No bar or lounge area The Wheatland Lodge is NOT a hotel it is a posh/nice guest house, it is far too expensive.

The hotel is great. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. The room is very big, clean and comfort. We got upgraded to the bigger and better room for free as the better room was available during our stay. Breakfast is also delicious. Much appreciated !!! Overall, great hotel and strongly recommend to those who want to visit lake district.

Beautiful b&b. Fantastic, huge bedroom. Newly decorated with ginormous, comfortable bed. Lovely big bathroom with whirlpool bath. Very friendly owners who were extremely helpful. Very convenient location. Off street parking.

Wheatlands Lodge was the perfect accommodation for our trip. The hosts, Richard & Yvonne were very warm and friendly. The sixe of the Lodge (9 rooms) was comfortable, the rooms are set out well. It had a real homely feeling but also making you feel very special.

The facilities, service and food were all excellent. The attention to detail by the hosts and the quality of advice given on eating, sightseeing and walking was first rate. We found they seemed genuinely caring and went out of their way to make our stay very special. In passing we had mentioned it was our anniversary and after a day out we found a bottle of sparkling wine in our room, on ice with a "happy anniversary" note. Richard and Yvonne were attentive wonderful hosts and Wheatlands Lodge was the perfect choice for our stay. The location was handy to all the spectacular sights of the Lake District.

In no particular order - decor, location, breakfast, cleanliness, friendly and courteous staff, the character filled building, lovely comfortable bed, lovely bathroom...... still thinking!

One gripe - a minor one is that for the normal tarrif price the room we got was quite small, luckilily we got ours on a deal so we didn't care!

Service really was fantastic, rooms finished to a very high standard. The bedding was extremely comfortable.

Could hear the neighbours and the wifi wasn't very strong in the rooms

The host and hostess were very nice. The tea and biscuits were tasty. The English breakfast was very good. The location is very convenient to the pier and Bowness. Beautiful rooms!!

Peaceful, Clean, friendly hosts nothing too much trouble. Excellent breakfast, adult only, proximity to shops & restaurants. Total chill out weekend, thouroughly enjoyed every minute, will be back. Thanks to Richard & Yvonne

Location right in the heart of the Lake District. Lovely old town with heaps of character and walks galore. Hosts very congenial and helpful.

Absolutely the best Bed and Breakfast we ever stayed in. From the owners ,to the room we stayed in , to the breakfast in the morning. It was wonderful!!

Not one thing!

Perfect location, close to the train station and centre, but lovely peaceful setting. One thing that drew me to Wheatlands Lodge was that they did not accept children or pets, not that I am anti either, but wanted a quiet, stress free stay. The Wheatlands was lovely and clean with everything we wanted, room was a good size and not too hot or cold. We had the windows open but heard no traffic noise, only the sound of the birds. Some lovely easy walks to the lake and surrounding coutryside. Had our own key to the front door so could come and go as we pleased. Great choice at breakfast and plenty of it. (Decaffinated tea and coffee which for me is a plus).

I honestly can't think of anything negative to say, we would certainly book the wheatlands Lodge again.
