The only thing we didnt like was it was a long walk to the town .ok going but coming back got taxi as it is very steep in places. We were on the top floor and there isn t a lift ,but we was offered help with the suitcase .
lovely view from room 6 we had a lounge upstairs.breakfast good apart from the whole tomato we like tinned but each to there own ,comfy bed and nice and clean
Comfort & Breakfast
Location just a walk down into the town. Parking always a bonus. Room with a view
Lovely stay - staff very welcoming - would visit again.
The bed and tv
Location and sea view
Well located, clean, comfortable, good value for money, excellent breakfast
Cleanliness of room, decor, location. Staff were most helpful. Breakfast was cooked fresh to order.
room 5 heating had problems. bottom half of radiators hot. The top of the radiators cold. They either need air bleeding off or an extra heating pump fitting
we loved everything about this b&b and will definately be returning :)
Nowhere to place bathroom accessories. Tiny sink which would be ok for washing one's hands in the en-suite but hopeless for getting a proper wash.
The location is great, not far from the centre if Whitby but a nice quiet area with fantastic view out to sea and towards the Abbey.
Comfy bed, nice room with great view, great breakfast,
Lovely and friendly place. We all loved the cooked breakfast. Rooms are fantastic. Especially room 6 with the added bonus of the lounge and views. We will be back.
breakfast good clean hotel
The bed was nothing special, the mattress quite firm but thin and could feel the bed base through it. Booked a room with seaviews through booking.com only to receieve a phonecall the followibg morning to say it had gone we could have the same standard of room but at the back lookibg over the crickrt ground, which would be great had there of been cricket on, other than that a plain field with houses at the end of it. The WiFi played up due to teething problems with the equipment but offered some advice on how to sort that so hopefully its stable now. At breakfast the toast was bought out 5 mins or so before the food and was stone cold by the time we came to eat. The inside walls of the room are quite thin and sounded like a rain storm and thunder whenever the room next door had a shoewer or went too thr toile, also the inconsideration of other guests as they slammed the doors, not the hotels fault but it was our 2 days escape onky too be woken up at 6am every morning. A few little things but I am quitr particular but I would return there again.
Thr location right on the north promenade was lovely, it would make for a good walk but it was too windy for us too bare - the owner was very pleasent and made us feel welcome. Good selection at breakfast but we opted for a fry-up both mornings.
Location, friendly easy parking
We had a great midweek break, nice comfortable room, great location , and a good choice of breakfast.
After arriving on our first day and having tea, coffee, biscuits, hot chocolate and bottled water provided it was disappointing that only tea and coffee was replaced during our stay. The cooked breakfast was a little disappointing with the eggs and sausage overcooked.
A good sized television in room. Fantastic sea view through a gigantic window. Great access for Whitby town centre
Lovely view of the sea, great traditional breakfasts
breakfast was excellent
Lovely stay fantastic room and view...would definitely go back
The light switch in the bathroom was at the far end so hadvto walk in to turn light on.
Bed was a little hard, but could just be my preference of mattress.
The location and facilities
Requested a sea view when booking ,did not get one, though the alternative which we recieved was quite large and had a balcony(good in the summer but not in March)
Breakfast was very good, well cooked and presented, especially the eggs. The Lady controlling the Breakfast room was VERY efficient.
Left door unlocked after cleaning No clean towels had to get dried on bed sheet Waitress had bad attitude to kitchen staff & no manners to clients
