We loved everything
Magnificent view from the room, comfy bed, power shower, really nice breakfast, superb restaurant and staff, outstanding value for money.
Very friendly and obligeing staff, warm clean room with good view, Excellent breakfasts and evening meals, Woodfords Wherry ale was pure nectar, very nice atmosphere and overall an excellent weekend stay, we will hopefully be back soon.
Nothing at all to dislike
The room was comfortable. The decor of the hotel was excellent. The quality and choice of the food was good, nicely presented and the buffet breakfast had everything you could want.
The whole atmosphere
The location of the Hotel is excellent with wonderful views of Oulton Broad.Plenty to do around the area with plenty of shops pubs and restaurants.
Pleasant room, pleasant staff
Breakfast - by 8.30pm it was just luke warm and had been sitting in the bain-marie for too long. The toast is awful; slices sitting on top of each other so they are soggy. I heard other guests making the same comment. No choice in pillows; too hard.
The location is excellent, great views of Oulton Broad, next to the park and good bars close by. Lots of parking which takes away any anxiety upon arrival. Free upgrade to Broad view room (although room was small)
The breakfast - ignoring the bought in goods like cereals and yogurts, the cooked breakfast was inedible. luke warm, poor quality bacon and sausage (this is Suffolk - no excuse for poor pork based goods!) and eggs were very overcooked and left to dry out (scrambled) or swim in tray of grease (fried). Very poor for a hotel which has good facilities.
Excellent deal on a delux room , room was great, carvery in the evening was lovely
Brekkie was ok, just a personal opinion, lots of choice just being picky on the quality of the bacon and sausage...still ate it all though lol
Reasonable food at reasonable price, nice quiet room, stayed here before and it wasnt so quiet - be warned !
bar prices are more expensive than London
Great location and general room facilities.
4th stay at this Hotel, and the last. 50% of the stay we had great difficulty getting a drink or any food in the Restaurant, my advice would be to eat elsewhere
Lovely hotel with great view. Most importantly the bed was comfortable and breakfast lovley
the staff was very helpful and very friendly the breakfast was very nice
i did not like the bar prices
For the money I paid and a free upgrade I can only praise The Wherry for location, cleanliness and hospitality as excellent.
everything staff were great .Carvery breakfast VERY GOOD QUALITY AND VALUE
The hotel has recently been completely refurbished. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The food is essentially a carvery which was very good with a wide choice of vegetables. There is a chicken and chips type menu if you didn't fancy the carvery. We stayed for one night Sunday 4 January 2015 at a bargain rate of £46.80 a couple bed and breakfast. Breakfast was buffet type with a wide variety hot or cold from which to choose. The evening carvery was £12.99 each for a two course meal. The total cost was under £90 including a couple of glasses of wine. Terrific value and to cap it all we were upgraded to a sea view room for no charge.
Well appointed as clearly recently refurbished.
Breakfast was average
we attended a wedding. the food was very nice and the breakfast the following morning was quite nice. surroundings were nice, by the river. just a shame it wasn't summer.Overall an adequate stay, nothing special though.
there was a mix up and we got allocated a standard double instead of a deluxe double!
Staff lovely couldn't ask for better welcome was fantastic catered to my parents dietary needs nothing to much for them, beautiful clean room great view thankyou for a lovely stay
Nothing it was just perfect you made my parents special occasion more special thanks again
the drinks were very exspencsive. I am not used to paying £3.45 for a pint.
Room cold. Peas in meal in restaurant inedible.
Rooms, location, staff and the restaurant. I've stayed here five time now. This time I was even upgraded to the master suite which is spectacular.
Can't think of anything
The room was warm, the bed comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely.
No complaints about anything and we would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
