Meals available at all times- a bonus in an islolated area. Evening meal good and reasonably priced. Good car aprk. Quiet location. Furnishings shabby. No separate residents' lounge.Bathroom layout not ideal inour room- washbasin in room not with toilet/shower. |

The situation was so chaotic there, that they didnt have the nerve of charging us for the rooms. They were given a fancy dress party, in the midlle of the night somebody was drunk in the toilet next door, shouting, slaming doors... We had chose the place because it was in the middle of nowhere, to have some peace and quiet and it was a nightmare... |

Set beneath some of England’s highest fells and overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake, the Castle Inn is the ideal location to explore the northern region of the Lake District. |
An independent, family-run hotel in an extended Victorian home, with many impressive original features. Close to Carlisle city centre and the M6 motorway. |
