Friendly staff. Free wifi. Delicious cooked breakfast. Rooms are comfortable with flat screen TV and tea / coffee making facilities. Excellent countryside location.
We had two rooms both on the ground floor close to the car park , which were very clean bright and comfortable.
Large family room for a good value, would recommend
The room needed a good vacuum. The bar didn't have any draft ales to offer.
the 2nd bedroom allocated to us was very good but not the first. Breakfasts excellent & great staff
Bedroom number five & banging of doors all the time. Needs soft closers on doors and notices telling guests to be quiet and respect other guests need for peace
The staff are very welcoming, even though we arrived about 10.00pm. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast served in the morning was also very enjoyable. This was my first ever visit to this hotel but it will not be my last.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The evening meal and breakfast was fantastic. Good value for money
Surroundings, staff, food, peaceful

Staff were very friendly and helpful Double room was a good size and very clean Food was very good
atmosphere, helpfulness, location
slightly scruffy/used - could do with a refurbishment
Excellent staff Good food Comfortable
Good quality room which was quite large and clean
Slightly thin walls so you could here the people in the next room
Good location, very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast.
We really loved the location. The owners/workers were fantastic and very personable. Our room ended up being cozy and full of character. Definitely a recommendation from us!
The property is old, so some areas have that musty, damp smell that is pretty consistent with many properties in the UK.
Great food Friendly atmosphere
Not very good soundproofing A little 'dated' decor
Handy for stop on way to Scotland, food reasonable, safe parking for motorbikes.
Could here staff bickering.
very hard bed
A welcoming bar and a good breakfast
Although very clean it was a bit dated
It was convenient for our journey.
Service in the restaurant was slow. Prices in the restaurant were high.
Food, setting ambience
Shower barely worked!!! The standard of cleaning needs improving
Stayed the weekend for a wedding, lovely country hotel very helpful staff especially Chelsea... Nice setting, lovely food, good play area rooms basic but clean
