The owner of this place is very friendly and caring. Except for the bed room, you can also have a separate common room if you live there. I think it's more ideal place for a couple on their holiday.
A little cold in the midnight
Very welcoming hosts
Great people, location and breakfast.
Bed space a little tight
Very warm reception and good advice about the locality. Will be returning!
They were very nice very helpfull very clean and the food was very good.and we will tell our friends about them.
There was not a thing that we didn't like and we will go back to them
Location, owner, accomodations
The room was a little chilly.
this was like a home from home good food chat excellent
Very friendly couple who owned the place. Easy walk into Conwy
The Winward House is a delightful and roomy B&B with seperate reading area. Train station pick-up and drop-off is available.
It was very enjoyable to have breakfast with the other guests (delicious food too!). Our room was comfortable and the location was great.
The room was a little small, but the bathroom more than made up for it.
Breakfast was ok. Host was friendly.
The shower room and toilet were not clean. Found long dark hair in sink and on towels. The room was advertised as being decorated in blue but wasn't at all. Plugs were an extension lead attached to the wall screws which came off when you unplugged something. When u leaned my head against the headboard my hair stuck to it. Their cat was allowed to wonder in and out of the kitchen when breakfast was being cooked. Very disappointing.
- Breakfast was amazing - Very quiet - Kind and friendly staff
- Price is maybe a little too high for low season - Nothing else, really a pleasant stay
Chris & Janis are welcoming hosts. The old style property had solid walls, which meant peace & quiet, ideal for a good sleep. The vast selection of book and DVD's available to take into the room could be a real bonus if required.
Welcome, location and the room was great.
No complaints. Host went out of his way to make you feel more than welcome. Nothing too much bother. Breakfast was great. About a 15 minute walk into center of town. Place had character.
We had a great stay at the whinward house. The rooms were very comfortable, the hosts were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. There was plenty of dvds and books to entertain yourself while there as well as a 'map' room with things to do in Conwy.
Owner compensated us for our inconvenience.
Bathroom a disaster. Bedroom very cramped and whole room needed a thorough cleaning.
Chris was so helpful and even provided a little hand drawn map with how to get to the harbour and marina and all local pubs and restaurants. The hotel is close to everything you need but in a lovely quiet location. Fantastic breakfast each morning to set you up for the day. Would highly recommend and would definately stay again.
Only a very small negative was the shower in our room was not very powerful and was difficult to regulate the temperature. But it did the job and only a negative as we are used to a power shower.
Quiet location Friendly owner, although didn't meet his wife! Breakfasts were very good Large collection of books & DVDs for our use Lots of paintings done by his wife
Tiny bedroom, full of clutter, dirty pillow inside slip Cobwebs and dust in both bedroom & bathroom Old towels, some hard to the touch Wasps nest outside window
When we pulled up in the car and realised it was just a house on an otherwise residential road we were a bit nervous. But as soon as Chris came to the door it felt very comfortable and yet special. The finishing touches were lovely and the room felt cosy & homely but not cluttered. Breakfast was nice. Sharing one table with the other guests was a new but not unpleasant experience. Plus we got a tip to go to Bodnant Gardens - do it! Wonderful! And only a five minute walk from town. Great VFM and would defo stay again when we return to Conwy.
The breakfast, the position and the owner.
The twin room was cramped and the ceiling low. An attic room. Just about ok for one night.
Christopher, our host, was wonderfully hospitable and supportive, offering to tell us a lot about the area, which he was very enthusiastic about. He obviously loves his work as a B&B host and is a great fan of Conwy and all it has to offer.
The property is a bit far from the center of this charming town, but our host pointed us to the walking path to town, which is a nice 15 min walk along the park and river.
Lovely warm welcome Good breakfast Comfy pillows Beautiful garden
A little tricky to find on foot
