Friendly and clean accommodation!
The electric shower wasn't great!
The food was wonderful Bed very comfortable
Taps very noisy Room very odd open shower to bedroom compartment
Newly appointed bathroom, crisp white sheets, very clean.
The staff were very pleasant, polite and extremely helpful. We liked the relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was very good.
The smell in our shower room. The toilet worked through a maserater which gave off a horrible smell. The step up into the shower was rather high. Could do with modernising.
Very friendly staff, staying there on my own felt safe, room was excellent and breakfast was so big I couldn't eat it all, would definitely stay there again
i liked everything
The evening food was nicely presented, served quite quickly and had huge portions. If you had a starter and a main you probably would not have room for pud too!
We booked two rooms for one night. Both rooms were tired and dated, damp water stains on ceilings in places. Strangely there were picture frames around some of the light switches, but light shades missing in our bathroom.( room 18) Light switch fittings in room 14 are very loose.. This was a bit worrying. In both rooms the shower heads were really filthy and the shower cubicle/ bath screen needed rotting woodwork surrounding it to be sorted. In room 18 what we thought was a wardrobe with a folding door , turned out to be a part of what we assumed to be an old shower room- complete with a wardrobe, bathroom tiles and a electric shower pull cord! When booking we included breakfast but was told quite abruptly at the breakfast table that only continental breakfast was included in the room rate. However there was the offer of ham and cheese ( lovely ham) We did not consider the hotel good value for money. If it had a really good clean and maintained correctly, then the price may be fair.
Convenient location for Swindon work, lovely village. Great room.
Location and price
Shower wouldn't maintain a stable temperature. Breakfast.
Nice rooms and a very new and clean bathroom. The building and outside area were nice as well. The landlord was very friendly and chatty.
The staff, even to getting me a sweet that was not on the main menu, nothing was too much trouble, and we met such interesting characters in the bar, loved the walks.
Nothing at all, Only that the time went too quickly
Small but comfy room. Everything you needed. Good food.
Small window in room.
The food was excellent, the room very good value.
We could hear the kitchen fans until midnight.
excellent service with lovely breakfast
bathroom door didn't lock
Comfortable bed; spotlessly clean and excellent food reasonably priced. A good halfway stop for older drivers heading for the West Country.
Two flights of stairs to our room(see older drivers comment!) However the owner advised that rooms with easier access are available.
The friendly atmosphere, excellent food, lovely clean room with good facilities
that our visit was too short due to family commitments
Airy room, comfortable bed and free wifi the rooms. Absolute great value for money
Expensive breakfast if you upgrade to full English
Service was good and friendly the food was absolutely awesome. Room newly refurbished.
The price.... It worked out at £ 133.00 per night which is expensive. For a little town hotel.
It's cosy, nice-looking hotel, it was the first inn in that old saxon town, Cricklade. Good pub downstairs. Simple, but tasty cafe across the street.
There was no adaptor in the hotel.
nice location for our visit which was a drive starting from Cirencester. found an open barn at the rear in which to put our classic car. Will stay again if we are up that way.
only problem was that when you got into bed your feet were higher than your head.
clean twin room peaceful and spacious
Spacious room. Attentive and helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble, from making space in the carpark to storing baggage.
Room needed redecorating, outside decking slippery when wet. Noise from the High Street woke us up twice, first an early morning delivery truck (6:30 am I guess), then late night revellers after midnight.
Helpful friendly staff. Clean crisp white bed linen and fluffy white towels. Good buffet breakfast especially the home cooked ham and cheese croissants. Good value for money.
The hotel, staff and clientel were all friendly and the accomadation was very well laid out. In fact the twin room was larger than the average. Thank you.
The continental breakfast was alittle on the paltry side, but we did leave at 5am!!!!
Staff were very friendly and catered to your needs before you even asked.
