Cosy homely environment
Lack of parking was disappointing
town, museums, walked everywhere-nice walks, very pleasant people-Saturday night special in town good.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Good food and atmosphere, cosy log fire. Location near the river and Ironbridge.
Bedroom 5 was really noisy until the bar had closed. It could also do with a bit of refurbishment. No parking facilities.
The evening meal in the restaurant was fantastic, service was excellent and all staff were polite and pleasant. Nice log fire in the evening and we relaxed with a glass of wine on the sofa, the bed was also very comfortable.
The bedroom and bathroom itself needed a good clean and a coat of paint, there was mold on the walls which was a little off putting and quite e few cobwebs. 2 of the bulbs on the main light were not working, the room just needed a lot of attention.
Excellent food & beer, friendly at tentative staff
Parking could be a problem during busy times.
We stayed in room 2 , the only downside was the bed being too close to the wall. I banged my shin on the wooden base on a number of occasions. Breakfast was good and the cask ales were perfectly kept
The outrageous prices on the menu
The room, the bed, the breakfast and location were excellent
When our room was cleaned the milk and sugar that we used hadn't been replenished
Great location nice small but perfectly adequate room, good greeting and ideal for teh one off stay for me
Couldnt get on the wifi, 3 devices tried so issue is with the wifi i suspect
The shower room had a musty smell
The staff were friendly and welcoming. No reception area as such you announce arrival at the bar...novel but nice. Busy Inn and atmosphere was good. Room 2 was spacious with view of the river and the Inns patio area. Location great just 2 minutes walk to the ironbridge itself. So much to see we will be going back soon
Liked everything...no complaints
Staff, room shower, everything
Fact that there was no allocated parking but we managed to park on the road easily
Location, staff, comfort, dining in fact everything.
The only thing is they do not have a car park which could prove difficult at busy times.
Close to the bridge, easy to explore the town. Very good cooked breakfast. Young man tending the bar was very helpful in many ways. Clean linens and decent mattress.
Room (# 4) was very damp. Bathroom needs repairs and refurbishment, ie. leaky toilet, peeling paint. Wifi was weak. Carpet needs to be replaced and room and bath needs a good deep clean.
Staff were very helpful, Location is picturesque. Nice and quite at night so a good nights sleep. Would deferentially stay again.
No parking on site, but there was on street parking available , may be a problem parking during the high season.
Food not up to standard
The pub and restaurant were lovely & the bar menu really good and fairly priced. Breakfast food was good, but not a lot of selection.
Our room could have done with a lick of paint and a bit of care and attention (light bulbs put in to side lights), and more rigorous cleaning. Also - sound proofing from the bar - if we'd had the kids with us (it was a family room), things would have been tricky at night. However, the price was very reasonable, so we didn't mind so much.
We ate in the restaurant both evenings of our stay and enjoyed truly delicious food, and at a very reasonable price for the high quality. A really friendly place to stay and so handy to the Iron Bridge and Coalbrookdale. Lovely atmosphere. Will go back soon I'm sure.
Staff very friendly and lovely bar area to sit in. Both evening meal and breakfast was enjoyed by all.
Car parking can be an issue but was directed to a long term just over the bridge, resulting in a short walk back to the Inn.
Mattress was brilliant - best night's sleep I've had away from home in months and I have been away a lot! Great spacious shower and lovely cooked to order breakfast included in price
No food available after 9pm - I was a late arrival, so even a sandwich or some toast offered would have been nice.
Great picturesque location, good food, very helpful staff, good value for money
Poor quality sleep due to noise below and pillows on bed uncomfortable, bathroom was not 100% clean and decor in bathroom was stained
The friendly staff, the position of the Inn and it's character Room 2 was spacious with an excellent view towards the river.
Room 4 was not an experience we wanted to repeat on our second night at the Inn! Very small, no windows other than Velux but clean.
Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful. Good location reasonably well stocked bar, unless you want martini rosso.
Room 4 is not fit for purpose. Small, Smelly, lack of curtaining to the roof windows. Only one other window high up on the wall, need to climb on chair to close blind. Lots of irritating flys.poor parking in general.
No car parking
