The atmosphere is cozy and warm. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
The inn itself is very old therefore there's some inconvenience due to the old facility.?
Everything, from the staff to the food. We could not fault it.
plenty of parking friendly staff
menu need to be able to have some flexibility to cater for vegan.
The breakfast The comfort The little extras The food The shower
a relaxed break with fantastic food and a warm welcome. Our dog made to feel at home
The most pleasant thing about the white hart inn has to be the staff! They are so polite, friendly and can not do enough for you! The breakfast was delicious with a good choice! The room was very cosy and comfy with lovely views from the bathroom! It was very clean and had just the right amount of gadgets you need for a short stay! The pub grub was another level too....food was fantastic!! Excellant!!
That we couldn't stay longer!
We arrived early for check-in as we were going to a wedding in the near by town of Ulverston, But the staff were brilliant, they made sure our room was next to be cleaned and prepared so we could get ready asap, they also made us some quick food even though the kitchen was still closed. The food was lovely! This was the second time we have stayed there, and both experiences have been first class! We love it! The room was a great size, very clean and the bed was very comfortable! The staff are always very warm and welcoming!
dinner breakfast service cleanliness
awkward car park
Friendly welcome, lovely comfy room spotless clean. They did all they could to make our stay good
Nothing to say
Rooms very clean & comfy Staff very polite and helpful Breakfast was delicious Great variety of beers
Our dinner was cold but tasted fairly good not loads of choice either
location, clean & tidy, breakfast, views, friendly & helpful staff as no problem to move rooms.
We understand it is a pub but noise from pub in rooms ( room 1, moved to room 2 as little quieter), extractor fan from pub, walls in room to thin, we could hear next room easily, door slamming, shower would go hot & cold with out warning, hardly no cold water came out of tap in sink, only had tv signal for a while of evening and then not good, no tv signal in morning at all, no wifi,
Room and bed were airy, bright comfortable and clean. Bathroom nice and big, apart from the sink. Accommodation was fairly priced.
Bathroom sink was very small making it almost impossible to use without spilling water on the floor, and as the bathroom was nice and big there was no space reason for such a small sink Food was over priced and not good quality, and very small portions (only one very small dish of oily vegetables between 2 people) No Wi Fi anywhere in the property No mobile phone connection in the property. Only a very poor connection while standing in the road. (Not the White Hart's fault but still a problem if it was necessary to make or receive calls)
The food and accommodation were excellent. We stayed two nights and were very comfortable.
Not much entertainment for children
This was a gem of a place hidden away off the beaten track. Beautiful location; quiet; tranquil; attentive staff; excellent food and a good pint of cider!; clean comfortable rooms. Would definitely recommend.
location, relaxed but attentive & helpful staff, focus on serving the customer needs
The room we had the first night (of 2) was rather small, but not unlike in other accommodations in this price class in the England
Lovely location. Nice big room. Delicious and varied breakfast options. Friendly staff. Flexible check-in
cosy atmosphere location in the countryside authentic features in room
This is an old inn situated in a lovely village just outside the national park but convenient for everything. It is clean, tidy and comfortable. Your hosts are sociable. The food is "pub" and good. If this is your thing then this is perfect. If you are a WiFi and TV type go elsewhere.
The steak and guinness pie was delicious and enormous!
We liked the accommodation, the staff were extremely helpful and the food was excellent. A full car park each night showed how popular The White Hart is with visitors and locals alike. Well worth a visit. Jeanette, Dalry.
location and scenery
food - not a lot of choice and not good value
The White Heart Inn was like stepping back into time. The pub and accommodations were adorable. We enjoyed a tasty meal in the pub in the evening and the delicious breakfast the following morning. We were able to hike a nearby trail and slept soundly in our cozy beds. Highly recommend.
Lovely Inn with a great room. Food was excellent and staff were helpful, polite and cheerful. Ease of parking was brilliant and it's a well located place too. Good pricing so really can't help but recommend.
Location, old country inn, character building, beautiful quiet village, easy walks.
Television didn't,t work, noisy extractor fan in room below, uncovered skip outside window, limited breakfast times.
