We loved the different areas within the hotel, all of them stylishly decorated and most having a roaring open fire. It was easy to find a quiet place to get cosy so this would be a good place for a romantic night away. Great food, too. Excellent location for exploring the Cotswolds. The snug bar got a bit noisy while we were eating so would recommend taking a table in one of the other rooms. |

Staff friendly & responded to my request for a change of room if possible on arrival although a "Happy Birthday" would have been nice! Despite large party in dining-room still served promptly. Lovely building Slight smell of drains in internal bathroom but not overpowering & didn't spoil experience |

The hotel had a really historical feel with many historical bits and bobs displayed around the building. There were lots of cosy areas to sit and relax in including a coutyard garden for warmer days. This historical feel extended to the bedrooms which were extremely well presented for the money and exceptionally clean. Our room had a hobbit size door! Food was wholesome and portions large offering exceptional value for money compared to other hotels I have stayed at in Moreton with a wonderful menu for breakfast . Staff throughout the hotel were exceptionally friendly whilst maintaining a professional standard. The entire stay was an absolute delight- given that I was there for my mother's funeral that is quite an achievement!! |

Friendly staff. Very comfortable and tidy rooms. Hotel is newly renovated so all the premises are nice, and tidy. Good breakfast. Good service. Good value for money. Location is in the middle of a crossing with lots of traffic. The dinner we had in the restaurant Friday night was pretty awful. Actually one of the worst dinner experiences for a long time. Food was mediocre. Service very amateurish to appalling. All at quite high prices. The inhouse restaurant is not to be recommended at all. |

Altho quaint and quite old, it has all the modern conveniences and quiet charm. This was my second visit. It has been greatly refurbished since my last visit in 2004. There was good parking and, in the centre of the small town of Moreton-in-Marsh, it was nicely located for exploring the town. AIt's about 25 minutes from Stratford-Upon-Avon and other Cotswold attractions making it a good base for day trips. |

Relaxed, informal but very good quality. Really liked the decor mixed with the really old beautiful building. Fantastic location for a relaxed weekend - lovely shops and pubs. |

we were lucky to get a quiet room as the hotel is on a very busy main road, the hotel was very plush after the refurbishments and the staff were fantastic, the breakfast was excellent, cooked to perfection and a very promt service. location during the day as the main road is very busy, but the trafiic dies away in the evening so then it is not a problem, but this wouldn't stop me using this hotel again. |

Very friendly helpful staff Had to request a change of rooms as the first was very small and dark and had a very strong smell of blocked drains in the bathroom. |

The room was clean. Unfortunately, the room looked to the street although we asked in advance for a quite room. With closed windows it will be ok. |

The decor and the bathroom were very modern, contemporary. But the building was very historic. This was an unexpected and pleasing contrast. The mattress could have been newer. |

The clean, refurbished room and the good standard of catering in the restaurant, and also the excellent rate. My wife found the 4' 6" bed a little on the small side, and also a little hard. That was all |

Clean and comfortable room with en-suite shower room. Firm bed and good size towels. Friendly competent staff. It is a very pleasant place to stay, in a recently, well converted, 17th century inn. Recommended. The shower and the bedroom were slightly cramped ... but hey, it is 400 years old - you are lucky to get en-suite at all. If you have a large frame you might find it awkward. The hotel has no private parking, so you might have to park some distance away, on market days for instance. |

This historic hotel has been very nicely and symphathetically renovated. The room, though small, was decorated in an individual style and was very up-to-dat in terms of facilties. The staff, all young, were very well trained and helpful. We also had a nice evening meal with an excellent choice of wines by the glass. I would stay again. |
