Good location Comfortable rooms Excellent Bar and Eatery. Breakfast superb selection
Hard to criticise
The room was beautiful.
The food in the bar was absolutely appalling.
Good room size Decor
Poor restaurant service
The hotel is very historical and the snug bar is lovely and cosy especially when we went in winter as there was a roaring fire. Very romantic.
The one really disappointing thing was the bathroom was freezing and I was so looking forward to a long relaxing soak in hot water but sadly the water was tepid at best and i literally got in and out. I'm not sure what the problem was apart from it being the time of day when everyone was having baths and showers. This may be the case as the next morning the water was boiling.
Beautiful Hotel, amazing food, friendly staff who really looked after you and did all they could to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Beautifully decorated room, spotlessly clean. We can't wait to come back!!!
Bar and restuarant, perfect. Check In & Out very good. Food excellent. We also parked righ outside our room!
Would have been nice to have bathrobes in the room.
Awesome hotel :)
The duvet doesnt " breath"
The inn was in a great locality for visiting the north cotswolds. Very welcoming in early December with cosy fires, Christmas decorations. Our evening meal in the restaurant was of a high standard and the beds were really comfortable. Will recommend to friends and family.
Very helpful staff Restaurant food was good but overpriced
Snug was a bit grubby in parts. Shower door fell off. Bathroom had a slightly odd smell. Lots of condensation in room so expect it was damp
Friendly staff, great food and central location.
Room could have been cleaner, cobwebs on light fittings and kettle dirty.
Although it is a hotel, it gives off the personal and independent feeling of and bed and breakfast, which I love.
Not many sundries in the bathroom. Our first breakfast was not very warm, however, the next day was very nice and hot.
Efficient and friendly staff. Roaring log fire in bar. Cozy lounge Library
Dark bedroom not helped by black wallpaper on one wall and very low lighting. No fan in lavatory which was separate to the bathroom in our twin room.
Loved staying here, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel special, the staff were superb, the four poster was very comfortable, bathroom was spotless and the decanter of sherry in the room was the icing on the cake.
The only negative was the cheeseboard. Very expensive for what it was.
Hotel room and staff. The breakfast.
Food not really value for money although breakfast was very good.
Excellent location, very friendly staff, great breakfast with something for everyone, superb restaurant, beautiful lounge areas and a nice bar.
Very good breakfast. plenty of choice Nice soft towels. good having two arm chairs in the room
We had the Cheltenham room which was not the cheapest but we were disturbed by very noisy floor boards above . we could hear every footstep of the people staying above us . room initially col on arrival had to turn the radiator on
Excellent attentive and friendly staff, lovely breakfast, great location.
Staff were lovely Breakfast was great
I was born in the town and we were visiting from the U.S. where we moved to 30 years ago. The White Hart bar was where friends would gather on return from university. The hotel has been modernized well, the rooms are comfortable and the food of a good standard.
Having reached a more advanced age carrying luggage upstairs is more of a problem these days.
Staff were very friendly Comfy chairs in the room Room was good but lacked a bit in character Nice breakfast
It is the little things. Only PG Tips - no other teas Only Nescafe - would have liked some nice coffee Kettle didn't reach the plug unless table was moved or it went on the floor Would be nice to have a fridge - not just for minibar options, but for us Hotel was in the Cotswolds, but water from Harrogate.Local would be great. Room was good but lacked a bit in character - blinds instead of curtains Nice breakfast, but sausages were a bit boring
A minor irritation but the bathroom basin tap delivered water at a snail's pace.
Good position, friendly staff, excellent cleanliness, breakfast superb comfortable lounge areas and a lovely bar
Poor shower very little pressure or water output. Dinner was ok but not value for money
The staff were very welcoming and helpful...loved the bar however, we were told service would be slow...even for soup and wine/beer! Breakfast was great. Lovely towels in the bathrooms!
Hotel needs to update its pillows and make all windows such that they can be opened. We were on the main floor and I understand the security issues but fresh air and comfy beds are a priority.
restaurant was fab.
room 105 very noisy fan kept us awake all night but the night staff moved us to another room during the night so alls well
Good value for money Historic surroundings Quality of food
Had room overlooking junction which made it noisy 1st thing in the morning
