Very personal service, staff very helpful and attentive. Room very comfortable and well equipped. Excellent restaurant, the manager is absolutely brilliant and the breakfasts were faultless. Easy parking, right outside - a real bonus!

Location in the middle of the walkable village was very good although the High Street in front of the White Hart Royal was quite busy --- perhaps due to the holiday weekend --- with bumper-to-bumper traffic with very few places to cross the street safely. Fortunately, drivers were considerate. Room was comfortable & spacious.

Steep stairways with no elevator. Cobblestones in entry to lobby made it very difficult to move luggage in/out of the front door.

Breakfast was great.

Bathroom was disappointing - very basic - no walk in shower, very utilitarian in style. No mini bar, no fresh milk in room, only one sachet of hot chocolate for a double room.

Restaurant shut and being redecorated so smell of paint everywhere - couldn't sit outside or in bar because of this. Builders vans filled car park

Reception staff very welcoming and helpful and the restaurant staff serving breakfast were very polite.

Only critism was the rooms were hot

A quieter town than some of the other Cotswold villages. Very comfortable hotel, with lots of character. Good food. Friendly staff.

The room was very pleasant , and the bed extremely comfotable. We found it rather warm at night , so opened the window , which in turn made it a little noisy ( main road traffic ) The staff were very friendly and helpful without exeption.

Nothing....however , we did run out of teabags ! ( but staff gave us a top- up without any fuss )

Staff were brilliant, food excelent, bed really comfortable, log fire in bar, convenient site for touring. Thanks for a great stay Duncan and please thank all of your staff.

The building is very old with much character. The room is well kept with many up-to-date features and facilities. We found the breakfast staff lovely and hosts at reception kind and helpful.

Friendly staff, a warm hotel room on what was a very cold night. Breakfast was excellant. Nice location.

All staff were extremely friendly and helpful and always spoke to us and asked us how we were. Matt in the restaurant was particularly helpful and extremely knowledgeable - an asset to the hotel. I could not fault our bedroom or bathroom, it was very comfortable with everything we required. The breakfasts were excellent. We had dinner on one evening in the hotel and this was of a very high standard.

We have no complaints whatsoever - everything was perfect.

The room size was tiny, the window was painted shut thus you could not get any fresh air plus it was a fire hazard. The breakfast bread was inedible except to the most unhealthy eaters. Some of the table menu holders in the Snug had not been cleaned for years, and it was expensive at £125 a night. I would not want to go back there unless in a much better room and then I would not want to pay for it. Anyone who is a bit wobbly on their pins should avoid the uneven flooring, especially in the reception area where there are lumpy cobbles. Tall people will hit their heads on the low door heights as I witnessed. Yes it is very historic, but it is not comfortable, in fact even for the slightly frail is is dangerous.

Excellent stay overall. Staff very friendly, b&b had lots of character and excellent cooked breakfast.

Double bed seemed a little short. Older radiator, wallpapered ceilings and doors made an otherwise excellent room good.

Everything, the whole trip was very relaxing. Staff were extremely attentive and welcoming.
