The Premier Inn Braintree hotel is well placed on the A120, with comfortable en suite rooms and the family-friendly Brewers Fayre restaurant. The hotel has a free on-site car park.

The bar - lovely decor, friendly staff and nice ambience
Freezing cold bedroom, dirty cover on bed, thin shabby duvet and pillows. Very dated decor except the bathroom which looked like it had been refurbished.
the hotel had a lot of stairs, not for me again.
Close to our friends
Too hot and couldn't open window
Breakfast and dinner was delicious. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Spacious room. Despite the bathroom not being perfectly clean, the shower was fantastic!
The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner but it was only the walls and I'm really nitpicking!
Really friendly and helpful staff, good food.
Any complaonts where delt with on the spot, so nothing not to like.
The food, the staff, the room just about everything! It's free parking, which is always a plus in a busy town centre location. The food is fantastic, service with a smile and always great size portions. You have to try to believe, well worth the drive if you are outside the area.
The only thing that potentially could be improved was the wi fi access, we couldn't connect at all so gave up.
I couldnt find a fault with anything. Excellent facilities and friendly staff in an ideal town centre location. Bedroom was large and en suite was huge. So many town centre hotel rooms are barely big enough to turn around in, this definitely doesnt apply here. Would stay here again, excellent value for money.
Room, bed, shower, shower, shower ..did I say shower ...hot place just been revamped have stayed before it was ok then but very much improved ....
Car park can be a bit of a nightmare
Good food, nice welcome reception
The cold shower that all residents had to have due to heating problems. Didn't get offered compensation.
Good value for money
The position - the no problem parking - the ambience of the bar - everything was just fine for us.
Room was lovely. Clean and very comfortable
Service at lunch was awful. Took an hour for order to come out. Also had to ask several times where our drink order was
Centrally situated. Warm welcome when checking in. Character of the hotel.
Hotel in need of refurbishment.
Location and Staff
The parking was very tight and needed to be monitored or marshalled in some way.
Breakfast,location,bar, interior decoration, bedroom, bathroom.
The loud music earlier than I wanted to wake up coming from the door marked private, next to room 2.
Nice room, comfortable and clean with good facilities. Breakfast was OK but not special. Good parking - ask at reception to be allowed to use parking places free of charge.
First night was a bit noisy with doors banging - but, to be fair, it was New Year's Eve and there was a private party in the hotel. The next night was absolutely fine.
Breakfast delivered to my room after I checked-in as I had to leave at 5am.
Nice room and a lovely pub
The fish and chips were outstanding.
It was advertised as a family room with a double bed and 2 singles but when e arrived there was a sofa bed instead of 2 single beds. The manager was very rude in his manner and actions, the breakfast was cold, they served wrong meals and didn't listen when we were placing orders. The window in the room was left open and we were unable to close it, so we asked for assistance from the manager which after a few tuts decided to do it.We were glad we were only staying one night, We will never go back there again.
The location was good breakfast was very good.
Booked a table in dining room for evening meal and got ignored by staff. Booked table at a time that was convenient to management as they had 2 large groups in. Felt really let down so went into town instead. Room was cold and hotel need to be updated and decorated.
The heating did not work. The room was absolutely freezing on a cold December night. A small heater had been put in the room to compensate but was incredibly noisy. When we checked out and complained, all we were advised was to email...wouldn't recommend
Bed was so comfortable and room very spacious. Excellent breakfast. In general a very nice hotel to stay in.
Had an electrical heater in room which made the air very dry. I presume the normal heating wasn't working during my stay.
Brewery delivery at 7 a.m. created a lot of noise. Metal beer kegs were bounced around for almost half an hour. This was most inconsiderate for guests and deliveries should be re-scheduled for a later time when guests are up and about.
Room was good sized, full of character. Spare pillows, large bathroom. All spotlessly clean.in the old section of the building.
It was absolutely freezing. No heat on at all. We asked the staff about it and they said it should come on, but it never did. The other side of the building was so hot that people had to open their windows!
