Location and price
not very personal
Perfect for someone like me that only needs a clean place to sleep at. Good location and 10 min walking distance to buses that take you to most places you will ever need in the area.
I didn't get to see the staff until just before checking out, and I actually had a tough time to get them to answer the phone when I was trying to get there (they never answered my emails/booking messages), although they were very helpful whenever we were able to contact.
The bedroom was tiny. There was no towel in the bathroom. And there is no person in charge on the premises. Disgraceful really for £58 a night.
Location is close to center (1/4 mile) and quiet. Good, free wifi, kettle in room, adjustable heat.
Difficulty with instant-on hot water for shower. Other guests had same problem
Trouble booking breakfast.
It was an ok place - served its purpose/ relatively easy walk to centre of town / staff very helpfull
Room was pokey I think it was room 4 possibly / the bacon at breakfast was hard nearly leapt off plate when cutting it / entrance door was quite tricky to open / not easy for parking we got lucky and got a 24 hr space - but otherwise would have to wait till after 2pm (2hrs free - then free overnight from 4pm) then if no spaces the rest is permit
Friendly reception Cleanliness Quiet Convenience of location
A slightly cramped space in the bedroom
Enjoyed my stay. With daily cleaning and tea and coffe replenishment. Small but cosy. Hot water and cable TV. 10 mins walk from city centre and 5 mins walk from Tesco.Kettle provided.
There was no possibiblity to make toast. Heat milk\soup. It would be perfect if after the paid breakfast was finished the guests could use a microwave and a toaster. It would make a huge difference. I had to eat untoasted crumpets and cold soup for 3 days. I didnt have a budget to eat out every meal.
Decent location, an easy 15 main walk into town.
No day time parking. Tiny room. Woken at 7am by hotel's water pump (avoid room 7). Thin walls mean you hear other guests going to the loo. Very dirty behind bed. Overpriced, even for Oxford!
Proximity/walking distance to town centre. Clean and maintained. Accommodating staff.
Lack of parking for 3 hours per day (not the hotel's fault but we had to come back to the hotel to move the car during the day-could they do a deal with the pub opposite? We would have been happy to pay for this -pub would potentially benefit from income)
Compact room but everything I needed, secure room and good location close to Christchurch.
Bed mattress was a little worn but I'm fussy with a bad back.
Clean Quite Wifi and tv Nice services
location is not very close to city center.20 mins walk is a little long for such small city
Clean overall, quiet, friendly.
Difficult to get into the building when first arrived as there was no reception, this is located in another building. Also to park, I had to drive to another hotel. Not a big issue, but was not informed in advance so a bit rushed on arrival.
Very friendly. Very clean.
Bed as it is so comfortable. Cleaniness is very good in here.
Size might be the issue but then it can be cosy. Breakfast perhaps need something to re-think twice.
Friendly, good location, very kind hosts.
Shared bathroom floor mat was dingy, and was not changed the whole 4 days I was there.
White House View is quiet, yet well placed or walking up into town and to the Bodleian and Christ Church College, which is were our aims - following Harry Potter. The staff were very helpful and friendly, room homely and comfortable, breakfast was good.
Found the front door mechanism a bit tricky to work out, but managed it. Milk on the table one morning was off.
the water of the shower had a low pressure, but was good of temperature
Lack of working(no Remote) tv and broken light cord over bed. in the single room.
Great location Nice service Reasonable price in the near of the city center
Proximity to centre of Oxford and the hospitality of the owners.
Could not get any channels on the television.
Location, walking distance to the city centre.
No real parking space. It shouldn't be included in the search tool as the place with parking at all. The owner explained me that we can park for free on the street after 2:00pm, however it didn't look legal as there were no any signs along the street saying about this. Also during the busy weekend there was no free space to park anyway. It could be a disaster for somebody who came by car there and was not lucky. The house itself is ok, rooms alright but a bit too expensive in my opinion.
Breakfast was great as were our hosts
