En-suite was a little on the small size but this wasn't really much of an issue to us.

There was, unfortunately, the smell of fried breakfast and cigarette smoke as soon as we entered the house (4 o'clock pm). The smell in the bedroom was not so bad. May be our fault. We should have checked if it was a non-smoking establishment.

Visited Lake District for the second time with my fiance and stayed at WhiteRose. Rooms were a bit small for the price (these were the cheapest rooms I could find during booking) but rooms were extremely cleans which more than made up for the size (I am very particular about good facilities while travelling). Bathroom, again was small, but extremely clean with lot of toiletries provided. Breakfast was the highlight. Full english breakfast (cooked fresh and separately for each table/room). Caroline (the landlady) was very nice and helpful...the b&b itself is less than 2min walk from the town center and about 5- 7mins to the train station. Lots of lovely walks around. The lake itself is close by. Ideal location. Will definitely recommend! Thanks for the lovely stay again Caroline!

My stay at the White Rose b & b was excellent but it isn`t a hotel it is a b & B. The room was very clean and the hostess was very nice and helpful when advising on places to see and visit, the breakfast was also very good

The hostess was lovely and very hospitable, the bed and breakfast was very clean and the room was an ideal size and very clean. The breakfast was everything we could ask for. And the hostess was very helpful and always on hand for any queries. A very enjoyable stay.
