very friendly happy looking staff. View from terrace and our 3rd floor room. It is always useful to have two entrances .The Steps up from the Park way are very high and I personally did find it challenging but that is because I have Knee problems . Food was very well cooked. Everything very clean .
We are no longer used to Sheets and blankets . and did not like the Blankets as they were heavy although didn't need over us much as very warm. The Sheets were spotless but we just found it very unusual these days to have blankets. A very small coffee table would have been useful to put our cups on when sitting looking out of the window in our lovely comfy tub chairs. As said before it was my knees that did not like the steps up Park Way .or down .
Instant access to the Bournemouth gardens ..a few minutes into town...a few minutes to the beach
The ancient lift and no suitable mirror for my wife to sit and get ready.
- Location is great
- The staircase smells of food - The entire building is in the need of refurbishment - Looks like this hotel is for elderly people
The quirkiness of the place, creaky floorboards etc all adding to the character of the hotel. Staff were excellent. Location was great...right in the center of it all. Great breakfast.
We found the bed to be very firm, almost to the point of no give in the mattress but i guess thats just a personal thing and what you're used to. Parking is very tight.
Comfortable beds, shower/bath ok, great location, friendly helpful staff, breakfast ok not the best but definately not the worse
Creeky corridors outside room meant you could clearly hear people walking past, quite disruptive. Car park pretty tight, have to squeeze in. Other than that ok
Location could not be better, central for all bars&shops without being too noisy. The hotel has a quaint old fashionedness which is hard to find-can highly recommend it.Very good staff.
Had a simply fab time!
The Owners and staff were friendly, chatty and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, the lady that served us breakfast was very bubbly and child friendly.
The decor was not to my liking at all, particularly the breakfast room which was garish. The bedroom furniture needed updating. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the mattress had passed it's sell by date and needed to be replaced.
Location was excellent, only a couple of minute walk to the beach.
The staff are very kind and lovelly .
room, location, staff
Good size room, clean, friendly staff great location
Parking is very crowded and you have to leave your keys with reception otherwise everyone blocks everyone else in.
Location View over the gardens from bedroom Spacious and comfy lounge areas Friendly reception, bar, waitress and cleaning staff
Coffee! Really didn't taste of anything, sorry! Would recommend buying better quality, and preferably ground coffee.
The sheets were dirty with stains the blankets looked very old and nevered washed.
All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Lovely breakfast. Good location within 5 mins walking distance to the beach and the shops. Room very spacious with a comfy bed and plenty of storage. Would stay again
Car Parking - once in no way of getting out until you leave, Room overlooked the park which was lovely other than through the night when it was very noisy with party goers.
Stayed for two nights to see the fireworks in Poole and Bournemouth, this hotel is ideally situated for the town or the beach. Friendly staff always helpful and ready to chat.
Not a good hotel to play hide and seek in as the floor's in the corridors are quite creaky. :-)
The staff were friendly & helpful. The location was very central so perfect.
The bed was too hard even my Daughter commented on it!
Hotel was nice lovely location.Five minutes from town.Five minutes from sea.Lovely gardens to relax in.We went bed and breakfast.Food was lovely.Service very good.Would stay here again.
Only fault there was no extractor fan/window in bathroom.
location price staff
Wi-Fi is really poor There are not enough parking spaces
The hotel is right in the heart of the town, two minutes walk from the beach, and we will be back very soon
We enjoyed our stay very much, the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very nice indeed as so were the facilities and very good value for money and nothing was to much trouble, meet some very nice people to along the way and will we be returning, yes we will, thx Paul and Lynette
I liked to see the gardens out on my window, be just next to the pier and high steet and the comfy bed. The staff were excellent too.
That bathroom was dirty :-( hairs in the shower and generally unclean. I cleaned it before using! The building is quite old and shabby but for the price, it's fine
Friendly staff and good location
Room very small and hot.
