This small but friendly hotel is centrally positioned in Wells, ideal for the cathedral and bishops palace and has an excellent restaurant. |

Good position to view cathedral and Wells town. Shortage of staff to greet us.No heat in bedroom. Internet advises 5 star but this applied only to the kitchen when we got there! Bathroom taps on the wrong way round so we didn't get hot water initially. No telephone to contact reception. |

Very handy to the city centre. Parking the car was a problem with insufficient spaces for residents. |

Superb location in the heart of Wells city, directly opposite the impressive cathedral. Staff were all very friendly and accomodating and the breakfast was very good. There's a very good Indian restuarant two doors down the road too! The rooms were disappointing for the £107 fee. The building is 15th century and had hoped for some romance and history but the rooms are Chalet style in converted outbuildings and whilst adequate the furnishings feel a little tired and the soundproofing between rooms ought to be better. The "carpark" is terrifyingly cramped with lots of pointy stone edges to scrape careless shiny surfaces. |

It was central to the Catherdral and the other attractions. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We thought it slightly expensive, however all the other hotels charged this rate or more. Homely, but in need of update....the room decor was tired. |

The staff were friendly and efficient. The food (evening meal and breakfast) was excellent and very good value. The One Way System in the town was a tad challenging. |

Very helpful and friendly staff, good breakfast, comfortable room and nicer than staying in a Travelodge or somewhere. Delivered everything I expected for the price and the star rating. |

breakfast was excellent - better would be very difficult to find. Service also excellent - staff friendly and thorough. Restaurant owned by the hotel across the road serves superb food. The room and the hotel was cold and the heating went off noticeably at odd times. The shower is not a hotel shower and is no good. The place is drafty because of windows stuck open. The bathroom carpet was not clean. Parking is risky. Needs complete workover. A great pity really. |

The George & Pilgrim Hotel is situated in the beautiful town of Glastonbury. Founded in the early 15th century, the hotel has welcomed people for over 500 years. |
Situated in England's smallest cathedral city, The Swan provides excellent accommodation and hotel facilities. The Swan makes an ideal base for exploring Somerset. |
