The White Hart Hotel  

The staff, the breakfast was good, as the diniing room was.

The rooms and bathrooms were a little small and the dividing walls to the corridor too thin.

Location fabulous. Good feeling about this small hotel.

Hotel rate more expensive than when we visited before. Food not as good.

Staff were very good, food good.

No heating in room, I had to complain four times before it was fixed.Access to rooms not to good for a 92yr old .

Parking is a little tight at times but at least it has some!

Location and service were, in my opinion faultless. Helpful and friendly host.Their Italian restaurant on the opposite side of the road proved to be a well worth-while visit - well cooked and appetizingly presented meal for a reasonable price.

The age and the quaintness of the hotel

the coldness in the room although it is may it was cold when we were there . We did complain to the receptionist and she later said it had been dealt with but alas it had not . we got a itchy brown blanket out of the cupboard to put on the end of the bed as the room felt so cold that the bed felt damp. we also put the towels onto a lower rail in the bathroom as the heated towel rail got very hot so we left the bathroom door open to let some of the rails heat into the room and afet 2 nights nothing had been done about the lack of heat in a room that had at least 2 outside walls.

Requested room on ground floor or with lift(as I was travelling with my 82 yo mother) had room out the open at rear of hotel with a metal staircase open to the elements. Room was old and basic,nothing like the one shown on website. Hotel very drafty external doors left open. Promoted a car park which turned out to be just single lane parking in the laneway at the side of the hotel which the delivery trucks etc had to use.

We enjoyed our stay of three nights, good room good service, brilliant location and good choice of food.

Why use cheap sausages when local butchers will no doubt supply real quality from locally farmed animals

Very tight parking, although staff were very helpful & found me a parking space & parked car for me even though it was pouring with rain. Very disappointed with breakfast. Not a lot of choice on buffet table & yoghurt served from the large supermarket pots didn't impress me. Either use individual pots or dispense into serving containers! Also, waitress took order for cooked breakfast & brought it to table before we had even started to eat our cereals so she had to take it away & keep it warm.

The location was excellent - right in the middle of town and the staff were all very polite and friendly. Breakfast was very good.

The bedroom was a bit dusty and neglected looking (to be fair, after mentioning this it was cleaned beautifully!)

Beautiful building in good location, nice breakfast. Clean and comfortable room. Good value The hotel manager acknowledged the problem with our booking and took appropriate action.

Our booking was not picked up so we had to stay in the sister hotel across the road - much smaller room and anxiety about what would have happened if we had come late at night

Room was clean and breakfast was very nice.

We were in room 8 and my daughter and myself were freezing cold all night the radiator was on but no way was it adequate for the size of the room. We also had to park in the square by the crown pub and had to pay for parking as no space at the White Hart.

Slight problem with parking--no room--though it was sorted out by (?)manageress/
