breakfast was delicious and bed was comfortable.
Parking bit of a nightmare
Very central location but hotel, especially the guest rooms in the annexe, needs investment. They do the best they can with what they have and it was well presented and clean. Overall it met our needs fine and the rooms had extra beds and space for a cot which worked well for us. If you wanted smart and modern, it's not for you but if you want a central location at a reasonable price with flexible rooms u would happily recommend it.
bed was comfy breakfast good
showers and bathroom shabby no heating had to ask for electric heater
Great location, comfortable bed, warm room, friendly staff, good breakfast.
In need of a little TLC, especially the bathroom.
The breakfast service was very poor.
Staff were helpful and friendly.
Our room was opposite an upstairs kitchen and in between that and a dining room. So when we left our room during service we had very close encounters with waiters an dishes of sprouts etc. This plus the smell of cooking in our room. The heating wasn't working but the staff gave us an electric heater when we asked
Good breakfast and location
Room could do with updating, smelt a bit musty and old fashioned
Warm; excellent location; car parking provision. Breakfast great
Rather dated, needs investment all round, also, poor residents lounge rather bleak and no tv or open fire. Also no welcoming bar, there was one but not open. Luckily close to pubs so could relax there!
Excellent location opposite Cathedral and Bishops Palace
No staff on Reception on arrival on Sunday mid day. Food only available at sister hotel over the road and no properly stocked bar.
Restaurant and bar were uninviting staff admitted the hotel was terrible worst place I have been to
Good character hotel with nice breakfast.
Decor could download with a bit. Of updating.
Location as it is central to all The things you should see
Very central. Great break, staff most friendly and very helpful. Parking ok. Breakfast good ... excellent selection ... sets one up for the day. Would definitely use again if we were down that area.
There weren't enough sockets in the room. However it is an old building. If you've got more than one phone to charge it's worth taking a multisocket extension.
The location was great. Hotel beautiful old building. breakfast ok found it very quiet & did not hear the Cathedral bells at all. Bed was comfortable.
Parking is tight but managed ok. whole place needs TLC our room was dirty & very drab, nothing to brighten walls at all. Modern light shades & mirror in dinning room so out of character of this old building. Brufanis resreraunt is no longer there but still advertised, not worth the 2 stars or £95. per night.
Bed Size of room
Shower Noise outside window Heating not on when came in from cold
Close to the town and very near thew Cathedral so made it pleasant to walk about from there. Excellent breakfast and very friendly staff.
Great location in heart of Wells. Friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay the best they could. Good cooked breakfast with fresh fruit and choice of other uncooked breakfasts.
Nothing we didn't like. Room felt a little cold at first but on reflexion there was not a need for the heating to be on and we quickly grew accustomed.
Musty bedroom !
The hotel is wonderfully located in Wells and a great place to spend a few days. We were able to walk everywhere so could leave the car parked at the hotel for the duration of our stay. Parking was available at the hotel but was very tight. The hotel was clean and quiet and very comfortable.
The tight parking could be a problem.
The location was perfect.
Parking was very difficult. Need to be a very good driver to manoeuvre round this car park. No telephone in room and poor mobile signal.
staff response and location
the space in the room was very limited. The décor needed some attention
Excellent location In centre of city Close to famous cathedral and bishops palace gardens. Friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money
Decor rather dated..room though clean was very bare with not even one print or picture on the wall!! Rather awkward parking area in back yard.
welcoming staff good breakfast
poor bar restaurant closed tired décor carpet in bathroom
bar almost no existant. Had not re -stocked since wedding weekend before
Bath with only a hand held shower attachment
