Courteous staff. Lack of comfortable chair in bedroom (Room 17). No bath in room 17 - only shower; room very large so space could have been made available for enhanced bathroom.

The bedding was totally inadequate: the first night was very cold. My friends managed to loan me an extra set of blankets for the second night. I approached the hotel staff, who said "no one had complained before" daft answer, person needs serious training !!

a good stopover for the night. Had everything we needed at a reasonable price. the rooms weren't particularly soundproofed - could hear the toilet flushing very loudly from the room next door.

Food was good. Hotel very tatty and needs money spending on it. Room was small and not very clean. Bathroom needed attention. When we booked we asked for a room that didnt have too many stairs to get to it, but when we arrived, we were told that the rooms were allocated automatically and they hadn't even acknowledged our request.

Asked for not too many stairs had loads. No toilets rolls in room. When having breakfast on the last morning were served last and told they had run out of bread and we had to have crusts for toast. The air conditioning unit outside of room was so noisy.

The English breakfast was good with quality bacon and sausage. It was a blokey pub/hotel and had no ambience, there was a lack of attention to detail - then again it was cheap and so you tend to get what you pay for.

the room was superb. clean fresh & ensuite clean. tv , tea/coffee facilites were excellent. local produce was used for cooked breakfast. not so much as a dislike but no one offered an alternative to cooked breakfast so customers were asking what is available. also kept running out of orange juice ( kept popping to co op for extra) & a bit noisey at night but nothing major
