Excellent service from start to finish. Stayed in one of the annexe rooms outside which was really nice with a fantastic bathroom and comfy bed. Food and drink really good and at a decent price. If down in that area would definitely stay again.

The staff were very pleasant. Location was very convenient with good car park. If you like Red Kites there were many soaring overhead. Room very large. Comfy bed. Exotic bath in bedroom. Room rather gloomy. Many stairs. Breakfast - make yourself tea from flasks.

Good friendly welcome from staff, comfortable traditional room in main building & excellent Brakspear ales & food Remember as an old historic coaching inn, but modern decor in restaurant area does not appeal & is a strange mix. Owner turned up on several occasions & made no effort to talk to guests!!

Room was to a high standard and felt very comfortable there. Pub was ok but short staffed so could have been better on another day. We had a good stay in all.

The location was ideal as it was convenient for Henley The room echoed the character of the building and the restaurant was cosy with a roaring fire. The rooms on the front are noisy from the a road outside.

The one member of staff that booked us in was very pleasant and helpful, she also took our breakfast order the next morning and looked after us extremely well. The room and bed was very comfortable, and the food excellent. I would certainly recommend the White Hart to others.

The best two things about the White Hart were the staff and the food. The staff were attentive, pleasant and knowledgeable. The food was exceptional. The best fillet steak that I have had in years, cut on a butcher's block in the restaurant. The St Emilion is recommended with the steak. The size of the rooms in such an old building limits what can be done with them, but our room was spotlessly clean. A minor criticism, and beyond the control of the hotel, but very poor telephone signal was a worry as we had left children and animals behind and were anxious that we might have missed a call. Wifi good though.

It was conveniently located for me to visit my son's new house. Comfortable and very obliging but frankly I didn't spend a loy of time there! The bedroom was rather small; a double bed squashed into a room too small for it and a wardrobe.

Food was definatly a plus and we dont even steaks. But impressed with the food quality and location was a big factor as it was in all commutable distance to henley, marlow, reading, oxford and ofcourse shopping at Bicster.

Excellent food on offer for lunch and evening menus. Very friendly staff, made us feel very welcome. Very little choice of cereals / juices for breakfast but cooked breakfast was great. A little isolated if you are wanting to walk off the excellent gourmet meal.

Although the staff were very busy they were relaxed, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We hope to return soon to explore further the lovely surrounding countryside.

We stayed at The White Hart in October in the Pistacchio Room when we attended a friends wedding in nearby Henley. We were greeted by a lovely lady and shown personally to our room. We couldn't have asked for a better welcome. Our room was lovely too, great design/colours, comfy bed coupled with the olde worlde charm of a sloping floor! Breakfast the following morning served in the bar/restaurant was delicious, hot and presented well.Would certainly use this hotel again Only criticism would be our bathroom, could have done with a little bit of an upgrade, looked a little tired but was clean and functional.

We stayed in the White Hart 4 years ago and it was perfect for a romantic night away. However, this time, it was completely different and left us very disappointed. It was our anniversary and we would not now go back. The first change was that you now have to check in at the bar. It was quite busy and we had to wait quite a while. We finally got shown to our room, the bathroom needed a good scrub, the toiletries were half used (I don't mind if there is none but I don't want half a bottle of someone elses). The bed had a huge fur throw on it and it had lots of bits stuck in it, yuk. Breakfast was slow and not up to standard, over cooked hard bacon, instant coffee in a thermal flask...... All I wanted was yoghurt and fruit and had to wait 20 minutes for it and the yoghurt fitted on a dessert spoon. The staff at dinner were harrassed and stressed, ribs were inedible, they just took them away without asking why they hadn't been eaten.

We stayed one night and we werer most impressed by the high standards attained by the Hotel. Our room was clean modern and well furnished with en-suite facilities. The Restaurant steaks were to die for and good value. Finally the Staff all round were very good and most helpful. Its on our list to visit again.

Good location. Food reasonably good. Standard double Room built under eaves of roof could only stand in centre of room. Access to room via external stairs therefore luggage size/weight could be a problem. Bathroom outdated with no standing shower facilities. Tv and room heating inadequate. Cut short stay due to room size and facilities. Photographs on web site??

The Real Ale available was good and the food was excellent. There was one server that was attentive. Staff was polite and well groomed. I tend to like pubs -- classic real-ale pubs with local people, down-to- earth types, and backpackers in them. I'm not one for the fancy foods and fancy dress restaurants. White Hart is a little bit of fancy-pants Texas or Hollywood California. It is upscale restuarant. The room needed a once over -- biscuits were open and trash not emptied. Excellent Food though. A great place to impress someone. Not my cup of tea.
