Nice and big spacious rooms. Staff were very friendly and happy to help with meal / dinner choices We really enjoyed our stay however the only thing we can fault was the breakfast. We both had the omelette and were disappointed when a fried egg was covering the filling rather than mixed through - like an omelette should be. Perhaps a poor choice we both made however this is a simple fix for the chef to make us (and future guests) 100% satisfied.

Room was to a high standard and felt very comfortable there. Pub was ok but short staffed so could have been better on another day. We had a good stay in all.

Friendly staff, comfortable lounge, excellent food, quiet at night. Bedroom rather cramped. No standup shower facility. Staff couldn't give us blankets instead of duvet

The location was ideal as it was convenient for Henley The room echoed the character of the building and the restaurant was cosy with a roaring fire. The rooms on the front are noisy from the a road outside.

The one member of staff that booked us in was very pleasant and helpful, she also took our breakfast order the next morning and looked after us extremely well. The room and bed was very comfortable, and the food excellent. I would certainly recommend the White Hart to others.

The best two things about the White Hart were the staff and the food. The staff were attentive, pleasant and knowledgeable. The food was exceptional. The best fillet steak that I have had in years, cut on a butcher's block in the restaurant. The St Emilion is recommended with the steak. The size of the rooms in such an old building limits what can be done with them, but our room was spotlessly clean. A minor criticism, and beyond the control of the hotel, but very poor telephone signal was a worry as we had left children and animals behind and were anxious that we might have missed a call. Wifi good though.

It was conveniently located for me to visit my son's new house. Comfortable and very obliging but frankly I didn't spend a loy of time there! The bedroom was rather small; a double bed squashed into a room too small for it and a wardrobe.

The staff was neither friendly nor unfriendly--lacking personality or charm if anything. Also apparently not keen to serve the customer. The room was such that the tv was too low for both people to watch from the bed. There were stairs to the room and at no time were given the opportunity not to climb stairs--I've recently had a knee replacement. The stairs were slippery [mossy/mildew] and the rail dirty. The decor was steak-housey [cattle skins on floor and also as upholstery] and lacked any charm of an old English pub. No fire only the smell of one. The entire place lacked personality and seemed sterile and barren. We checked out after one night when we were booked for 4! Never ate there and breakfast was adequate and nor hot. But service both when checking in and at breakfast was indifferent. Not welcoming at all. Real ale warned us it would be sterile and it certainly was.

Friendly staff, good breakfasts. Easy check out. They did not have our booking when we arrived - just as well there were rooms available ! No mobile phone coverage but that is not the hotels fault.

Excellent food on offer for lunch and evening menus. Very friendly staff, made us feel very welcome. Very little choice of cereals / juices for breakfast but cooked breakfast was great. A little isolated if you are wanting to walk off the excellent gourmet meal.

Although the staff were very busy they were relaxed, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We hope to return soon to explore further the lovely surrounding countryside.

Warm welcome, lovely cosy loft room with large bathroom (the Muscat room). Room appeared to have been recently refurbished. Good food... Delicious cooked breakfast included in the price. Dinner in the restaurant was also great. Free off-street parking was a bonus too.

We were visiting the hotel for the first time since our first date 31 years previously. It was nice to find it pretty much as we remembered it. The room was very comfortable and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Although the food was very good we felt that more provision for those on a gluten-free diet is required, particularly on the evening meal menus

We stayed at The White Hart in October in the Pistacchio Room when we attended a friends wedding in nearby Henley. We were greeted by a lovely lady and shown personally to our room. We couldn't have asked for a better welcome. Our room was lovely too, great design/colours, comfy bed coupled with the olde worlde charm of a sloping floor! Breakfast the following morning served in the bar/restaurant was delicious, hot and presented well.Would certainly use this hotel again Only criticism would be our bathroom, could have done with a little bit of an upgrade, looked a little tired but was clean and functional.

We stayed in the White Hart 4 years ago and it was perfect for a romantic night away. However, this time, it was completely different and left us very disappointed. It was our anniversary and we would not now go back. The first change was that you now have to check in at the bar. It was quite busy and we had to wait quite a while. We finally got shown to our room, the bathroom needed a good scrub, the toiletries were half used (I don't mind if there is none but I don't want half a bottle of someone elses). The bed had a huge fur throw on it and it had lots of bits stuck in it, yuk. Breakfast was slow and not up to standard, over cooked hard bacon, instant coffee in a thermal flask...... All I wanted was yoghurt and fruit and had to wait 20 minutes for it and the yoghurt fitted on a dessert spoon. The staff at dinner were harrassed and stressed, ribs were inedible, they just took them away without asking why they hadn't been eaten.

We stayed one night and we werer most impressed by the high standards attained by the Hotel. Our room was clean modern and well furnished with en-suite facilities. The Restaurant steaks were to die for and good value. Finally the Staff all round were very good and most helpful. Its on our list to visit again.

Lovely comfy bed so I got a fabulous night's sleep. The strong wifi connection meant I could get some work done too. Good speedy service in the restaurant and friendly, helpful staff. Nettlebed semed like a lovely village - its worth wandering down the the church if you get a chance. The road through Nettlebed is quite busy, so my room was noisy when the windows were open; fortunately, they've got secondary glazing, which was really effective at shutting out the noise (not so good in the heat of summer though, I imagine).

Good location. Food reasonably good. Standard double Room built under eaves of roof could only stand in centre of room. Access to room via external stairs therefore luggage size/weight could be a problem. Bathroom outdated with no standing shower facilities. Tv and room heating inadequate. Cut short stay due to room size and facilities. Photographs on web site??
