The setting of the barn conversion rooms with gardens right outside meant we could put our toddler to bed and have a drink in the garden right outside our room on an evening. |

Friendly staff. Clean double room in separate former stable block. Situated in pretty Suffolk village. Dining room a little faded. |

Owner welcoming and friendly on arrival and departure but not seen otherwise. Breakfast portions were huge and well cooked. Exceptionally clean room. Rooms are in an annex building and the door did not have an internal lock. Radiator thermostat was stuck on high heat. Evening food standard depended on the dish ordered - mine did not live up to its description |

Friendly, Helpful Staff. Really good food and very reasonably priced with a varied menu. Had two pints during stay and it both were perfection. As for breakfast, dont bother booking a lunch date if you have the "full breakfast", had poached eggs on toast two mornings, wonderful, coffee good too! Would have been nice to have had a couple of choices for the "house wine", when travelling on own not really able to do a full bottle justice, hence wine by the glass is usually the option taken by "single travellers". House wine was nice but as I said, a choice would be appreciated, or perhaps a few half-bottles on list? |

Well placed in Sudbury, this 16th-century coaching inn has a full bar serving local bottled ales, lagers and spirits. Grade I Listed for its historical architecture. |
