This stylish hotel looks out over Brighton Marina to the sea. It has free parking, a bar, a restaurant, modern rooms with monsoon showers and outdoor terraces looking out over the water.
Score from 821 reviews Very good
See my letter to Head Office dated 16/9/14
Location, this could be an excellent hotel with a bit of upgrading and tidying of rooms
Carpets threadbare in public areas, bathroom very run down and not clean, bath panel loose, door handle loose and not working, safe box not operation,
Location and staff were good
Bed very uncomfortable, lumps in the mattress, although the staff had tried to keep the place clean there is only so much you can do, the building itself needs some attention, ie grubby paintwork, old carpet, smell of damp in the room
Great Location for travelling in and around Brighton. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Large comfortable bed with nice clean linen but décor very dated and bathroom in desperate need of a refit.
Staff friendly, beds comfortable, excellent breakfast, lots of choice, free parking was a bonus would definitely stay again carpets a bit worn in places but didn't matter
There wasn't anything I didn't like really
Nice location prices food good valau breakfast great not noisy at night as it would have been in Brighton
Would have liked a sea view but it's not allways possible
The location was great for what we needed, the room was great, clean, big and comfortable. You get what you pay for.
The hotel is a little worn around the edges and does really need some TLC. The menu was really basic and could with an update.
Location Lovely view Nice linen and comfy bed Good selection of cold breakfast foods
One member of staff not as friendly as they could have been. Mediocre cooked breakfast Flaked paint on floor in bathroom Wifi not available when we stayed
Friendly staff good breakfast comfortable room excellent location . Lovely sea views and attractive interesting village .
Hotel could do with some refurbishment . Decor rather tired. No outlook from bedroom .
Good breakfast £10 wine voucher with evening meal great shower sea view and fantastic balcony
Decor a bit dated and worn
hotel easy to find, fine sea view from our room, good evening meal in the hotel's restaurant, very friendly staff, easy on-site free parking
Had a good stay and enjoyed ourselves - used our bus passes, visiting Brighton and Eastbourne. Liked the size of the bed! which was very comfy. No problems with room.
Most of the building looked in need of a bit of modernisation.
didn't like having to climbing the stairs as my husband I have lung disease
staff really friendly and helpful ,food good and beds really comfy.would come back again
decor a bit dated could do with redecoration
Sea view, easy to get to. Good breakfast.
Like all the English Inns the staff, and general facilities were fine except that it could do with a bit of redecorating
The web site only shows the good side of the hotel's outlook Many bedrooms face the road and despite double glazing the traffic noise is horrendous. The second room I stayed in was an internal room with an opaque glass window that barely opened . TV, and kettle on the blink, no plug for washbasin, mould on floor along bath etc etc showing lack of attention to details. To make it worse this single room cost £10 more than the double I had used before.
very comfortable, and pleasant stay. Staff very helpful and friendly. Have stayed before, and will stay again hopefully.
Right on the coast with excellent car parking. Good choice for breakfast but cups and plates stuck to the table! Beds were good size with good mattresses and clean crisp sheets. Bathroom was clean too.
Handrails and tables were sticky and chairs often scattered with crumbs. Stair carpet was threadbare and public areas and bedroom decor was very dated. There was no lock or catch on our bathroom door! This hotel could be fantastic if a lot of money were spent modernizing it.
Everything especially the breakfast, room was a good size and very well kept clean neat and tidy, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Hotel is well situated with easy access to Brighton by public transport if required
There was nothing to dislike
Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable beds, really good location
There are many good things about The White Horse Hotel; The views from my balcony window, straight out to sea,the wonderful night's sleep in a very comfy, huge bed,the friendly, helpful staff, the tasty breakfast and the free parking.I would definately stay again(in a balcony room).Thankyou for my lovely stay.
I wasn't keen on a shower curtain but it's a very minor thing, the shower over the bath worked well.
The location was exellent for the buses. We parked the car and didn't use it again until we were leaving. We liked looking out to sea from the dining room.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Comfortable room and the staff were very good.
A little wax polish on the dining tables would have been nice.
Very good location. Friendly helpful staff
Evening meal menu. Decor looking a bit tired in places. Toilet seat in Room 110 needs replacing.
The staff were all very friendly and eager to help with anything you needed. The added bonuses were the position for buses etc., the sea view and the parking facilities.
It wasn't that the food was bad, on the contrary, but the breakfast plates were cold and the food almost cold when it arrived. Otherwise, breakfast and bar meals were very good with adequate portions and choice.
