Score from 376 reviews Very good
The room was quite spacious and furnished to a reasonable standard.
Poor parking provision, traffic noise. Restricted menu in restaurant.
The staff were very polite and helpful. One of the staff showed us the best places to visit within London.
The hotel is very dated and needs renevating. Although fairly clean, it would not take/cost much for big improvements to be made. The floor boards creaked when you walked and you could hear other people walking around in other rooms! The bed was very uncomfy and was hard to get a good sleep.
Comparatively cheap, staff were nice, genuine and helpful, good size room. Really appreciate inclusive wifi.
Rooms quite dated especially bathroom and carpets, rooms need proper shower fittings. Generally clean but skylight hadn't been cleaned in a long time even tho it had easy access
Room comfortable and clean. The evening meal booked with friends was very good.
Very noisy residents up to 4.00 in the morning and the hotel staff did nothing to rectify this. Breakfast was poor, food kept warm on candle lit hot plates which didn't keep the food warm at all.
A double bed when I was expecting a single. Quiet and late bar.
I think all ok.
Bed and bidet
AC Unit outside the window Poor shower
Good location for access to travel links.
Difficulty in parking in tiny boxed car parks. Beware of leaving your precious car park space in the evening - may not get a space on return. Decor in bathroom from 70s - but clean.
Clean book in times
Went to this hotel for the weekend, 2 nights, we were staying as we were heading to the Harry Pottet studios which is 10 mins away from hotel!! (And is amazing) The high street, shopping, pubs, clubs, food, is literally 2 mins walk away!! Can't comment on breakfast or dinner as we didn't eat at hotel but staff were very friendly and helpful for anything you needed! Would definitely be back!
Sofa bed was a bit too firm for my liking Room was too hot first night but only because clammy outside
The room was like a sauna even with windows open! Most uncomfortable to try to sleep. Car park needs to be signposted . I had to park on a double yellow and run into reception to ask for directions! Not the relaxing start to the stay I was hoping for.
Easy to get to and from Watford town centre, especially as I was fairly drunk on the return to the hotel that night.
The toilets flush handle didn't work! And the bed felt harder than the pounding headache I had in the morning.
Reception staff very helpful
Very dated, lift was out of order, terrible smell outside our room, wouldn't return
The location & the friendly bar man.
The room temperature.
Location suited me perfectly and the room, whilst smallish was well equipped. Staff were excellent, helpful and polite and took note of my comments. Food, whilst not top quality was plentiful and well presented
The room I was given was very noisy since it overlooked the main road even though I was on the top floor. I did comment to staff that both the bedside light and the over-mirror bathroom lights did not work.
Decent location for Watford FC. Parking. Reasonably clean despite being very dated - 1970's throughout.
Needs modernising. Extremely hot room bearing in mind it's September, no cooling. No room service on Fridays. Hit and miss Wifi and a receptionist with the most revolting attitude I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with - please don't dare ask directions to the car park or ask for your receipts to be stapled together or you risk being treated with contempt. Utterly horrible.
clenliness locaton , standard of room
The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful
The room was far too hot, and when you opened the windows it was far to noisy. The lift broke down so it was difficult to get the cases down
room was good staff were polite.
set menu was horrible.£21-95pp bed was uncomfortable. lots of noise from outside shouting and swearing, slamming room doors and people running through corridors. we got about hour and half sleep. we have complained to management
Friendly staff Clean and tidy and a good location.
Rooms rather hot
Location great for the town centre, shops, restaurants and bars. Bed great, clean rooms and swift, easy check in. WiFi easy and fast. Good hot and cold breakfast choice, but £7 extra. Free car parking at rear.
Room 151 was boiling hot and a little smelly. Windows opened up straight on to a main road with sirens and footy fans. After being advised that "as I was alone, they had given me a double room as a favour" and offered me a fan. I was finally moved to the room opposite, which was comfy, cool and quiet, well lit and more appropriate for £90, and the staff confessed 'they' knew the other was really hot and couldn't work out why. Then my worst scenario. The shower was trickle of water from a mixer tap extension. Come on Best Western. Shower heads are £13 from the supermarket 100 yards away. That one was years old. Breakfast £7.
This was the best room i've stayed at White Horse. Free upgrade to a double, and away from the street
Large bath. easy access to high street
No safe in room. Parking very cramped.
This hotel was more like a b&b and was very dated compared to the photos shown
Excellent location, only 2 minutes walk to bars and restaurants and just a ten minute walk to Watford Junction train station
You had to walk past rubbish left around in the car park. The room was very noisy with passing traffic, deliveries and people walking by. The bathroom was quite dated and in a 70's style. Also, our key cards failed to work after 24 hours as the receptionist hadn"t set the correct length of stay.
Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and with a very good choice of dishes. Rooms and public areas were very clean.
