The room was very clean and comfortable after a long travel this was a bonus. Great breakfast
More training for reception staff
We stayed overnight to visit the Harry potter studio and the winter wonderland , it was very warm and comfortable perfect distance from the station by taxi and had car parking spaces for free
Nothing to dislike
On site parking
Dated room Breakfast Tea making facilities
Staff were Great, knowledgeable of the area Free Wi-Fi Good Size rooms for 3 people TV was big enough Tea and Coffee in the room
Water pressure for the shower was poor Bathroom was a bit dated
Late disco which we could hear clearly in our room.
Bath room outdated very poor shower facilities that came from a diverter valve on bath deck tap filler, no control of temperature possible scalding. Tea facilities in room cups had residue in bottom had to be washed prior to use. when making a cup of tea using the milk supplied it seemed it was off possibly out of date. at breakfast the bread toasting facility was very poor you either had just dried bread or cremated bread, waitress had to make toast in the kitchen. I have had better breakfasts in cheaper hotels. on arrival we found that the kitchen was not open for evening meals on weekend which meant that we had to go out into the town to find somewhere to have an evening meal I would seriously think twice before using this hotel again. Kitchen
Friendly staff and the bar area.
The noise all night!!!
Reception staff were very helpful; rooms were comfortable; on-site parking; excellent spot for access to Watford town centre. My advice to potential customers is stay at the hotel but don't waste your money on breakfast there.
Breakfast! Food (when you could actually get some! ) was good. However organisation of breakfast was probably the worst ever. self - service kept running out of everything, crockery plates drinks. We had food in 3 separate parts as coffee, bacon, eggs etc became available. Truly dreadful!
Location, staff were friendly. Good value.
Price and central location (although on busy road). Very friendly helpful staff.
Limited parking and due to numbers struggled to serve breakfast but staff were heroic.
Most things. staff were helpful facilities good
In the brochure you advertise if you stay more than Two nights you get a 20% discount on the Sunday night when we asked at checkout we were told we didn't qualify because we had not booked on line.this was not mentioned in the brochure so it is a misrepresentation of information could you please clarify this situation as we feel this has marred an otherwise enjoyable stay
Lovely spacious room with comfortable beds, good shower and lots of channels on the tv.
The hotel it not easy to get to due to the ring road and one-way system in Watford.
The location of this hotel was perfect as the wedding was at The Langley which is literally a minute walk away. The bed was extremely comfortable and worth the fee for the hotel.
Layout of bathroom wasn't the best. TV was a bit small.
Rooms spacious and good standard
For a hotel, not to be able to get food on a Friday eve is appalling. We were told food is not served on a Friday evening and we were handed a folder of take away menus. Come on this is not good enough.
They've listened to me, there's mustard at breakfast!!!...which was excellent as always...
No heating. Not a huge problem this day as not too cold, I mentioned it on leaving, was it just room 255 or a more global problem?
the staffs were really helpful, the location was ok
poor facilities, the room was really old, the room gets really noisy after 6am
comfortable room and very helpful staff.
visitors a little noisey.
Staff was really friendly, and the room was great
Had wifi issues, sometimes it worked other times it did not.
walls were thin so could here other rooms like there wasnt even a wall, but we were not there long so didnt efect us too much
Decor was dated Extremely noisy guests Bathroom facilities dated back to late 70's Temperature of rooms too hot.
Bathroom furniture was a bit mismatched.
Good location. Close to amenities in Watford . Excellent breakfast. No problem with parking.
Poor Wi-Fi reception on one device which couldn't be rectified unfortunately.
The hotel room was huge! We had twin beds but I guess if you're bothered, you can talk to reception but we just pushed them together. The bath was massive, and the beds were prefect after a day on our feet. It's close to the town centre, you can see mcdonalds on the high street from the bottom of the road. The receptionist was lovely, my booking was under a different name and she was so patient when we checked in.
The maps from the train station to the hotel are a bit misleading. Once you walk about a bit, you realise how close everything is. With all the restaurants so close by, it'd be lovely if the menu was a bit more varied, as we opted to eat out due to variety, but the restaurant looked so lovely to eat in.
Room was good size Bed was comortable good lighting - light in the middle of the room for once so i could see my make up and good lighting in bathroom. Parking behind hotel All clean and good quality. Brill location had event at Langley so 2 minutes away and food places nearby windows warm room nice and comforting If you're after a room for one night and don't want luxury this is handy! I'm super fussy and could manage it for one night!
Room smelt musty when we walked in had to open windows shower was a little pathetic Noisy doors - hotels should always get noise control/softer doors so they don't slam everytime we go in and out of room and annoy neighbours & vice versa.
Liked the evening meal
The hotel room was abit dated
