Staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything I asked for was done efficiently. The room was quite small and over-warm, even with the c/h off! The parking is pretty poor for a hotel of its size. The Bar area was a bit soul-less and not a place where you wanted to spend any time!

Clean and basic, well positioned for town centre with free parking. Bar needs rethinking as with the foyer layout.

The location Terrible stains on the bedding. Either boiling hot water (which scalded my skin) or freezing cold water. Beds were the most uncomfortable I've ever slept in, they were lumpy and painful and felt like a thin water mattress. Walls were paper thin I could hear peoples conversations in the rooms next door and was woken several times during the night to doors slamming.

Location and reasonable service Parking was a pain, hard to find - especially having to go back and put ticket in car. Room very poor standard, bathroom dated and shower useless - no hot water. Extremely noisy and had worst night sleep. All in all extremely expensive for a very basic, outdated and second rate hotel. Will never stay again or recommend - Feel like I have been ripped off.

Helpful reception staff. Free, secure car park. Easy access to local rail connections. Relatively quiet location. Clean. Comfortable. The room was too hot despite radiators being turned off (room no 70, first floor). The staircase was a bit loose and creaky and smelled of curry.

My fillet steak at dinner was the best I have had in a very long time and an un-expected surprise for the type of restaurant. The bedroom was too hot and we were unable to alter the temperature. We had to sleep with both windows open but this meant we had to endure a lot of noise from the street. My make-up melted in my bag!

The location and the car parking facilities are the best parts of the hotel. The hotel is in need of updating. We have stayed at the hotel in the past but looking at the website the "superior" rooms looked as though they had been refurbished. When we went to our room we realised that there had only been new curtains and bedding. The rest of the furniture, especially the bathroom, were still very dated.

It was in a very good location for my requirements. The girl on reception was extremely helpful, car parking was safe behind the hotel, and the staff let me keep my car there after I checked out for a couple of hours so that I could go into town. An extractor fan in the bathroom would have been handy, but nothing to dislike at all.

Breakfast was just horrible I notices most people having full left 40-50 %. Check in was terrible. Only given one room at first but booked two. Keys to do were not activated 3-4 times so could not get in meaning several trips ip and down in a lift with ( full heating on) so were in desperate need of shower afterwards ( all windows had to be left open on both rooms because of heating !!! Check out was also not east and plain sailing. Not a good job !!! And only 20 ish flys in dining room around lights. Betterthen my last stay in Liverpool where everything was PERFECT except I had a room with at least 20 big bluebottles in and had to call the manager to see ! He offered no good will but said next time I visit just say I'm the FLY LADY and ge will know who I am !!!!! Not doing very well are you !!!!!!! Mrs Kathy Ward. Very disappointed indeed !

The location was perfect for anyone going to Wembley stadium. The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful in suggesting and booking restaurants in Watford. The member of staff serving in the restaurant at breakfast was very poor. She couldn't remember who she had served, who was still waiting and then said you couldn't choose what you wanted to eat as she was too busy to take individual orders.

Friendly and helpful staff - the receptionist anticipated my needs before I asked ie it was very hot and she said I might like a fan in my room and just to ask for one if I did. I asked and they immediately provided one.
