Mostly walking with visits to Minsmere and Snape. Also some beach time at Aldeburgh and Southwold. The 3.65 charged for a bottle of water - we had dinner first night, asked for 'just water' instead of wine. Not a big deal but normally a jug of water would appear free of charge. I'll know next time! |

The calm, relaxed atmosphere, the quiet attentiveness of the staff, the excellent, locally-sourced cooked breakfasts, the fact that it seemed to be a hub for the Aldeburgh Festival. Finding a space in the small car park was a bit of a lottery! |

Location was good, staff very good, and the hotel was comfortable. Breakfast was a luittle sparse in quantity, although quality was good. It was certainly the most expensive B & B that we have experienced. (More than London). Perhaps it was a combination of paying for Aldeburgh, and time of bookiing. |

Quiet peacefull surroundings and the proximity to the town Dining room service was good on the first night, but very poor on the second evening and final morning. I understand that the hotel was busy, but that is your profession. |

From the moment of walking through the door the hotel felt very welcoming. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the food excellent. I would definitely go back there again. |

The staff we helpful, as there was a mix up with our room. The hotel is aimed at an older generation. It is not ideal for young people as there is a stana stair lift up the stair case (a little off putting as we were on our honey moon!). |

The staff were very friendly and helpful and we dined in the restaurant both nights and very much enjoyed our meals. Our stay was lovely and we enjoyed our break. |

The location is very convenient for the sea front and the staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was nicely done with table service. All in all an enjoyable stay once car was parked. Trying to find a place to park was initially a nightmare with all surrounding areas full - it was a bank holiday which might explain why. We had to park 10 minutes walk away. Luckily after a few hours a place became available in the hotel car park. |

Comfortable, relaxing ambience. Quite good, but unpretentious restaurant facility. Staff helpful, but not overbearing. |

The sea view from our bedroom, a joy. Staff were very friendly and the ambience was good, nice comfortable hotel to come back to. Sunday evening menu was limited and we discussed this with the excellent receptionist when we checked ut. |

Hotel location is great - right opposite the beach and a short walk from town. The hotel restaurant is good value and the food is excellent. We had a double room at the back of the hotel - it was small and in need of modernising, although it was comfortable enough. I don't think I have seen a smaller TV anywhere. But the room was very overpriced for what you get, but then accommodation in this area generally seems to be overpriced. |

The staff were friendly, lovely and attentive. The food was worth shouting about. Although the staff, room and food were wonderful, the overall ambience was rather flat as if the hotel was trying to be something and not quite making it. The was no buzz. |

The friendliness/helpfulness of the staff, the ambience and position of the hotel in Aldeburgh - all in all a very pleasant few days (once we had been able to change our room!) See comments below. When booking on-line the information about the available bedroom was extremely misleading. The photo used was of a large, superior room, when the room allocated was quite a small room at the side of the hotel. Fortunately, we were able to change to a slightly larger one. We should have been warned when some of the on-line comments had said the very same thing. |

The restarant was very good for both breakfast and dinner. Our room, which was on the left hand side, was constantly humming with noise from a nearby generator. |
