Bedrooms comfortable breakfasts good
Evening meal on previous occasions a disappointment
the heat of the place was so welcoming the staff were lovely food fantastic bedroom fine and big and comfortable a great place to stay
the bedroom seemed to be very far away up through landings and doors which was a bit confusing .when at reception a couple checked in at 20 pound cheaper than what we paid which was a bit annoying as the euro is so weak against the pound i think it should be the same price for everyone
Do not stay here on a Saturday night. Woken at 1.45 am buy drunk youths shouting and singing in the street. This went on till 5.00am. During this time tried contacting reception without success. In the end I contacted the police. In the morning I was informed by the manager this was a normally Saturday night and the Hotel head office was aware of this and no refund would be made. I made a complaint to head office and I've not received a response.
Town centre location.
The building was undergoing redecoration at the time.
Excellent wifi and large comfortable room. Really good breakfast
It wasn't always easy to find a member of staff
good food made welcome very good location
excellent hotel, friendly staff, bed was really comfy.would reccomend this hotel to my friends.
Passing through Bala two or three times a month, I had often wondered what it would be like to stay there. We stayed for just two nights and quite enjoyed the experience. The staff were friendly and efficient, the room was clean and comfortable. The food was wholesome pub grub rather than four star cuisine, but the service was good. The public lounges are particularly welcoming.
Because of staff illness we had to wait two hours to check in. But we were offered complimentary drinks in compensation and were upgraded to a superior room for free!
Good hearty breakfast
The mattress not comfortable
All mod con fitted into a picturesque old inn.
Restaurant not always staffed.

Comfortable and decent size room with excellent bathroom. Good location for visiting North Wales and very good value for money. Excellent breakfast and good choice of food and drink in the bar in the evening.
The stairways and corridors leading to the rooms are clean enough but a bit shabby looking.
The lady that greeted us was very friendly. The room was very clean Hotel had loads of character Great food Food and Drink prices very reasonable Fab location Very accomodating to motorcyclists
Nothing really, it was very hot in there, but a window can always be opened. Better to be hot that cold
This was a lovely old hotel and the staff were so friendly especially the lady from Liverpool who we chatted with in the bar. The food was excellent and we had a lovely evening in the bar with the locals. The area around this hotel is breath taking in the Snowdonia national park.
No lift and we had to climb about 6 flights of stairs.l was so glad l left my case in the car and just took what l needed for our over night stay.
food was great, people were friendly, bar was welcoming and the town is a great night out.
Location was very good.Easy on site parking.Nice breakfast.Good menu during day and evening.
Restaurant closed on Monday night.Long climb up to 3rd floor.
Staff helpful and efficient. Good onsite car parking. Room ok for price. Breakfast very good.
Building and room a bit tired.
Nice room, quiet friendly bar. Great breakfast.
Welcoming friendly atmosphere and excellent service from every department.
The room was excellent both in content and in size. The bathroom was massive with room to swing two cats let alone one. The bed was large and comfortable. The tea/coffee/ biscuits were replaced every day (unlike some places we have stayed) Breakfast was great with sufficient to set us up for the day.
The restaurant was only open on Saturday evening meaning meals had to be taken in the bar. This rather spoiled our plans as Sunday was my wife's birthday and eating in the bar was not conducive to a romantic meal. Also the soup was the same throughout our stay.
The hotel itself was pleasant and the breakfast was fine. Good sized room and comfortable bed.
The high street is extremely noisy on a Saturday night. There were teenagers shouting and screaming and dropping glasses etc until 3am! This was so loud it completely prevented sleep. We were told by staff that this is a regular problem and they are trying to get the council to do something. However I could not recommend this hotel because of this problem.
old world charm.
food was average presentation of evening meal was poor.disapointing.stay.
Room was excellent, well furnished and clean, staff polite, breakfast plentiful and promptly served. Although no full restaurant facilities during week, the bar menu was good.
3 flights of stairs to room and no lift. Lack of full restaurant facilities during week
Have stayed twice whilst on business, on both occasions had single rooms, each time these rooms were of a high standard with decor, cleanliness and facilities. Breakfast was included and was outstanding, all you can eat cereal, juice and a served hot breakfast
No lift, it is an old building, but dragging luggage, or in my situation a case full of paperwork, up the stairs was a bit of a mission
Good Bed Very Comfortable. Bathroom good, With towels replaced daily plus shower gel, also Tea/coffee and biscuits Good
Cleaniless in hotel, we noticed a piece of paper on stairs and there it remained, where are the cleaners? On leaving, the previous evening we asked to settle our account and it was suggested we do it in the morning,Next Morning NO STAFF only a cleaner in the bar area Good job we insisted in on settling the previous day Awake up call is needed on managing a good situated hotel
