rooms could have been more cleaner we were in room 308 there were cobwebs in the corner of the room and the window sill was dirty and had dead fly on it and the cupboards were dusty.
Stayed one night with my daughter on a special offer night. Lovely comfy bed and a good breakfast. Nice staff.
The staff are lovely and helful. The food is simple menu but very nice. The beds are very comfortable. Rooms nice. Bath & Shower so both happy. Great bar. Breakfast was lovely
We stayed on new years eve. We had booked tickets for in house entertainment. When we got to the room. We were sat right behind a brick wall. Couldnt see a thing. Waste of £10. Furious but couldnt be bothered gettin angry on new year. So just left And went Round local pubs. And prob had much more fun. Well we did. Also the rooms are not as clean as. Should be lots of dust oN bottom of furniture. Radiators dirty. Dust on top of pictures and it was more than a weeks worth. Also hotel was far to hot. A few people mentioned it.
Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to provide a good service
Very friendly and efficient staff in a delightful old location with excellent modern facilities in the bedrooms. Extremely clean room and generous proportions throughout
Good location reasonable food
Windows poor for noise suppression and very draughty
the place is generally ok and has potential to be very pleasant, but....
1.structure completely covered in scaffold-renovation work ongoing 2. dinner undercooked 3. party with very loud music at 0300hrs - needed to complain to have it ceased - sleep completely ruined 4. breakfast room completely populated by dirty workmen
Bedrooms comfortable breakfasts good
Evening meal on previous occasions a disappointment
the heat of the place was so welcoming the staff were lovely food fantastic bedroom fine and big and comfortable a great place to stay
the bedroom seemed to be very far away up through landings and doors which was a bit confusing .when at reception a couple checked in at 20 pound cheaper than what we paid which was a bit annoying as the euro is so weak against the pound i think it should be the same price for everyone
Do not stay here on a Saturday night. Woken at 1.45 am buy drunk youths shouting and singing in the street. This went on till 5.00am. During this time tried contacting reception without success. In the end I contacted the police. In the morning I was informed by the manager this was a normally Saturday night and the Hotel head office was aware of this and no refund would be made. I made a complaint to head office and I've not received a response.
Town centre location.
The building was undergoing redecoration at the time.
Excellent wifi and large comfortable room. Really good breakfast
It wasn't always easy to find a member of staff
good food made welcome very good location
excellent hotel, friendly staff, bed was really comfy.would reccomend this hotel to my friends.
Passing through Bala two or three times a month, I had often wondered what it would be like to stay there. We stayed for just two nights and quite enjoyed the experience. The staff were friendly and efficient, the room was clean and comfortable. The food was wholesome pub grub rather than four star cuisine, but the service was good. The public lounges are particularly welcoming.
Because of staff illness we had to wait two hours to check in. But we were offered complimentary drinks in compensation and were upgraded to a superior room for free!
Good hearty breakfast
The mattress not comfortable
All mod con fitted into a picturesque old inn.
Restaurant not always staffed.

Comfortable and decent size room with excellent bathroom. Good location for visiting North Wales and very good value for money. Excellent breakfast and good choice of food and drink in the bar in the evening.
The stairways and corridors leading to the rooms are clean enough but a bit shabby looking.
The lady that greeted us was very friendly. The room was very clean Hotel had loads of character Great food Food and Drink prices very reasonable Fab location Very accomodating to motorcyclists
Nothing really, it was very hot in there, but a window can always be opened. Better to be hot that cold
This was a lovely old hotel and the staff were so friendly especially the lady from Liverpool who we chatted with in the bar. The food was excellent and we had a lovely evening in the bar with the locals. The area around this hotel is breath taking in the Snowdonia national park.
