Whitemoor House  

Chose Whitemoor, because of the great reviews on this website and they definitely lived up to them. Really friendly and a great place to stay. Would recommend to anyone going to the New Forest.

The owners were extremely warm and friendly with a cup of tea and cake on arrival. The room was lovely and was very clean and had everything you needed. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and cooked to order. The owners were a wealth of knowledge on the area and restaurants. Will definately go back again

Nothing to dislike

Lovely friendly hosts. I shared a twin room (Beaulie Room) with my sister, which was spacious and had really comfortable beds!!! The decor was very pleasing and easy on the eye.

The room was a little noisy when you opened the windows - being at the front and over looking the road. Parking could be a little tricky when there are a few cars in the car park!

Staff/owners, accomodation, location. As a well travelled couple we would rate this extremely highly. Not only can I not find a fault, but everything was done to the highest standard. Well done Steph and John.

Very friendly welcome with pot of tea and home-made cake on arrival. Diet requirements dealt with admirably with no fuss. Great knowledge of locale with best restaurants and pubs to eat in, and recommendations where to visit. No silly rules and regulations, guests come and go as required. Altogether, a most pleasant guest house with lovely hosts. We certainly will recommend it to our friends, and we ourselves will be back for future visits.

Comfortable and very friendly, helpful landlord/lady who have a good local knowledge and are able to make recommendations about travel and restaurants.

The friendly reception with afternoon tea in the lounge with a welcoming coal fire. The superb bedroom with the best beds since visiting America! The gorgeous breakfast with local foods plus homemade preserves.

Our stay at Whitemoor House was so enjoyable, could have done with a few more nights. We will try to get back for a longer stay next year. It was clean and friendly, and it was about a 10 minute, but plesant walk into town.

The owners were extremely helpful and friendly, welcoming us with tea/coffee and home-made cake. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable and it was a short(7minutes) walk into Lyndhurst. Above all the breakfast was delicious , plentiful and freshly prepared. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The initial reception on arrival was as welcoming as one could get. Assistance with luggage followed by a pot of tea and cake in the lounge. The bedroom the "Minstead Room" though not large had a very big four posted luxurious bed, probably the most comfortable we have ever slept on. The room was spotlessly clean and the furniture looked like new. The hosts Stephany and John were charming and attentive,nothing seemed too much trouble for them and we would be happy to visit again. The only slight minus would be parking, though there are sufficient spaces at the front, for the less able parking can be a little tricky, but that said I would thouroughly recommend "Whitemoor House" to persons wishing to stay in or arround Lyndhurst

Very friendly welcoming coffe and cake a nice touch. Location great rooms clean and tidy. Coffee tea making facilit great and very helpful and friendly. Breakfast great. Will not find a better 4 star hotel for value for money.

Great hospitality, comfortable and clean rooms, good service. And once you cross the street, you're in the middle of New Forest! We'll certainly go again, and advice others to spend time here as well.

John & Stephanie were excellent hosts and could not have been more helpful. They represent the very best in English hospitality. Well done you guys ! Breakfast was unbeatable with superb homemade jams and marmalade. They also provided gluten free bread for my partner without hesitation and a wonderful surprise of a bottle of bubbly on her birthday ! Very comfy and clean bedroom and bathroom. Very highly recommended.
