This large house is just a 5-minute walk from the seafront, local shops and St Leonards Beach. It offers bright, modern rooms, and has a free on-site car park.

Friendly staff. Restaurant and bar area nice.
Room not as spacious as expected.
Lovely view from my lovely room (although bear in mind sea view rooms = road noise from busy road below). Comfortable bar with sea front terrace, which served good food. Wifi was free and strong signal. Overall, very good.
My room was lovely apart from a very grubby looking carpet!
The hotel was in excellent location. The staff were helpful and friendly from start to finish very good value for money. The food was good and reasonably priced, will definitely be back
There was not anything
Fantastic lovely rooms and even my dog could go. What more can I say apart from going back.
Bar, breakfast, dinner, bathroom,outlook
Lift, narrow & hot hallway, stairs to parking
Sea view amazing, excellent value for money. Hastings has lots to offer.
In the main, good value for money.
Rips in chair in bedroom, which could have done with a lick of paint. Bathroom shower very difficult to turn on, and loose on wall.
Dog was very welcome. Even in bar area and when eating. Staff were excellent we had a bottle of local wine with dinner the next day went to the actual vineyard and bought a selection
Wished we'd stayed longer but we had other commitments
This hotel is in a great location, facilities are good as is the food. Would recommend it to anyone wanting a decent accommodation at reasonable price,
staff very friendly and helpful. beds very comfortable and bathroom facilities very good. having tea / coffee in our room was great, dining staff all very courteous and helpful
small car park at the rear, job to find a space to park, particularly if disabled. a bit of noise from traffic but as it was on the main avenue that was a risk we took
Dogs allowed everywhere. Dog friendly beach nearby
Quite a distance from the old town and amenities, need to drive or get a bus along the sea front
Nothing because the staff were not friendly or professional. The receptionist kept saying the hotel was for special people and that the manager did not like children,
The building was outdated, small corridors, lift not working at times, creaking floorboards, bad smell. Place more like a residential home than a hotel No wi-fi at all Children not welcome at all. My family was staying at the Combe Haven Holiday Park which was excellent. we stayed 2 out of the 3 nighst we were supposed to because the first night was bad and the 2nd night my 12 year old daughter was reduced to tears by the receptionist. It was a nightmare. Poor customer service
If as a customer you read the comments and reviews up-front (which still apply) and if you booked a room with that knowledge, there is no excuse to rate this hotel negatively. As for breakfast meals and breakfast premises, they are above average (quality in no relation to the rest of the hotel, though). The two ladies with asian facial features were especially sprightly, factual and attentive. The professionalism of the rest of the personnel was, at best, 'mixed'.
There is a stunningly high amount of pro's against a equally high amount of con's. A certain balance is still there, though; However the plentiful peculiarities, on an ongoing basis until you leave, do confuse.
Staff were excellent...friendly and helpful. Location was great. Food was the probably the best part...very well cooked and well presented.
The pictures both on the website and even pictures advertised on the dining tables were SO different than reality. I booked this hotel because the pictures of the room and reception areas were modern, clean and immaculate. Unfortunately, this was really not the case at all. Corridor carpets were dark and stained and rooms (apart from bathroom) looked very tired and in need of complete refurbishment. The floor in our room was unbelievably uneven. Furniture was nothing like that advertised. I almost wanted to ask the manager to show us the rooms in the pictures as this was really disappointing for us. Also if you are not a dog lover...I would not stay here. Sometimes, it can be noisy with barking and dogs allowed in the dining area although not actually at the table!
Staff friendly. hotel is right on seafront and close to town. Nice to sit out the front and have a drink !
Very un comfy and noisy bed you would wake up when turning over. Lots of noise out the front traffic and bar and work men on peir first thing in the mornings.
Lovely soft bed linen. Sea view. Lovely happy & helpful staff.
Bathroom was harsh. No blind. Lighting was 'unkind'. Not good for ones confidence! In fact the lighting in the room could be altered also. No mood lighting option. Either they're on or they're off.
food quality, very friendly staff
VERY small lift
Everything about this hotel is top-notch! The location is excellent (directly across from the pier), the parking is adequate and the staff are kind, friendly and helpful. My wife and I have stayed in several different hotels all over the country and we both agree that The White Rock is probably the best so far! Our room was clean, modern and comfortable with a great view, Room service was prompt, moderately priced, and the food was very nice. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends that wish to visit Hastings and will absolutely be visiting again!
Nothing really except for maybe better disabled access to the front of the building.
very clean polite staff spacey rooms
constant banging of doors through the night although I asked for a quiet room . Breakfast should be including with your stay?
First impressions at reception were that we had chosen an old tired hotel. Whilst this may be true, the management have got their priorities right. Our room was clean, with a large modern en-suite. Well stocked tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge. In acknowledgement of the British weather, there was both a large fan and an oil filled radiator supplied. We had supper the first night and two breakfasts. The food was plentiful and well prepared and the young staff were efficient and friendly without being over familiar. Yes, the décor could be improved but the comfort and value for money was spot-on.
The corridors were narrow and rather airless but there is nothing much the management can do about that apart from some brighter paintwork. It is after all an old building.
Location, breakfast on the terrace, service and free car park.
Room was a bit hot, but found fan in the morningso down yo us !!
Very clean Smelt lovely Rooms were modern Beds were very comfy Nice location Lovely food
No smoking even in the terrace Bed was very creaky woke up every time my partner moved
Location Hotel car parking is welcome although rather limited Room OK Bar snack menu wide and varied
No dinner menu Bath in room (and therefore the shower) was approx. 24" deep so really difficult for elderly guests to step into it Guests' dogs allowed in the dining room
very good value for money for the food and excellent selection of meals, breakfast first class.
found shower pressure very low, also no flannel in bathroom was a bit of a bind, as I failed to take one
The staff in all departments were very helpful and friendly
