The White Rock HotelSeafront, 1-10 White Rock, TN34 1JU Hastings (Show map) Very good, Score from 102 reviews“Exceptionally good service. It felt as if the staff really wanted to make guests enjoy their stay. Nice modern decor for a seaside hotel, with interesting touches like dimming the lights and putting candles on the tables at 9pm. Handy car park. Good check in/out times.”

Friendliness of all staff, seaview, food at anytime, cleanliness and all facilities. Lack of parking spaces some of the time and the long walk to the carpark if one is disabled. However I would book in the same hotel if I were to visit Hastings again.

We stayed in a Standard King room. The service was very good. Excellent check in staff and good waitresses when we had the paid breakfast. We had a sea view room which was very clean and lovely sea view. Nice touches in the room with a fridge and bottled water. Free parking, although limited spaces. The hotel has been well restored and is in good condition. Overall, a very nice hotel that I would recommend if able to get a discount from the standard rack rates which they charge. Little to dislike, except they have a very large terrace at the front of the hotel and despite being in the open you could not smoke on it. Also could not even smoke on the steps to the hotel outside as we were told. It would have been nice to have a drink from the well stocked bar (4 real ales for example) on the terrace and able to smoke, even on 1 designated side though.

Our 3rd visit. As always felt very comfortable and well looked after here. Shame about the previous lovely view being spoilt by the arsonists who wrecked the pier. Hope the funds are found to re-erect it one day.

We were attending an event at the White Rock Theatre which was next door to the hotel. Also a note to people staying, breakfast is not included in the room price but if you charge breakfast to your room you get 20% discount. There was no hair dryer in the room, but as if that's a major worry!

I like the fact its dog friendly and the rooms are lovely, great bathrooms and the food is always fantastic value and edible Its only the corridrs that let the hotel down a bit decor wise, but unless people like spending time in corridors not a problem and the hotel itself is excellent!

Very clean and well maintained; efficient, friendly staff. The road between the hotel and the beach and congregating young people made the room noisy at night.

Lovely terrace and weather helped,it was fantastic.Food was nice and drinks reasonably priced. Rooms never have enough bright electric light.TV Channels were appalling with hardly any choice and to add to that the reception was awful.Room was at back of hotel and was woken quite early by the kitchen staff chatting all the time.Terrible creaky floorboards.

The staff and service was fantastic - always service with a smile and friendly. Never overdoing it. Meals available around the clock and refreshments were excellent and to high standard. Very important for us: dogs were allowed and neither they nor the other guests discriminate. Bed was uncomfortable (mattress), shower pressure poor and the TV channels limited to 6.
