The White Rock Hotel  

The room was very comfortable,clean and attractive. It was well equipped and furnished. The bathroom too was very clean and modern.

View and very comfy beds. Great shower room. great location for the old town and Jerwood gallery.

Had to stand up to see the view. Dog friendly so communal areas smelt a bit doggy

Very friendly staff and wonderful 'full Audrey' big breakfast! Lovely location and we look forward to seeing the pier opposite being restored to its full glory soon (it is a rather sad burnt out shell)

I chose White Rock principally for location & views, and was certainly impressed.The staff were very helpful & answered my questions/enquiries most efficiently. We certainly enjoyed the breakfast on the Terrace Bar, wallowing in glorious sunshine.

Creaky floorboards,(joking really) though expected as an older hotel ..

The advert stated that the room came with a balcony. Well to me a balcony you should be able to stand or sit on not just the doors open and there be railings. Breakfast wasnt included but you were offered 20% off any meals you had in their bar/cafe but at £9 for a full english even the discount still didnt make it value for money

Beautiful location, Gorgeous Terrace to sit and watch the world go by, very nice place to sit and have coffee and very popular with guests and non-guests

Views are great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was well appointed and comfortable. Couldn't fault it.

Staff friendly and eager to help. Location was good sea front and near to the old city. Pet friendly. Breakfast was value for money.

Bed room was cold as heating was controlled centrally and turned on for very short periods. Room rates very expensive. Premier room cost £109 (double) but nothing was of premier quality or standard. Difficult to get wifi connections.

The noise did not get any sleep.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. The food was good. The position of the hotel was great. It had sea views and was close to the city.

It was a good 3 star accommodation, the bar/restaurant area was clean and fresh with a lovely sun terrace. I know it was a dog friendly hotel, didn't much like dogs sitting in the food area whilst I was eating. The staff were friendly and the room was very comfortable. Food in the cafe/bar was not bad quality and a discount given for residents - although when busy there was a bit of waiting. I was asked by one waiter if I wanted my starter and main brought together......

I managed to park at the Hotel Car-park which was at the rear, so entered the Hotel through the back - which was very shabby considering the hotel had undergone a refurbishment it let it down and gave a poor first impresssion.

The building could do with a lick of paint on the outside.

The bedroom was better than expected,as we're all the facilities.great breakfast,,and respectable dinner,and good wine list.

Entrance to the hotel from the back,and corridors were a bit dark and dingy,but that's being picky.

We had a double on the third floor with magnificent sea-view. Room and ajacent bathroom were very clean, the beds slept perfect. Staff very friendly, excellent pub-food and breakfast. All within walking distance of Hastings old and new town. And free covered parking accross rhe road.

Wifi available, but neither phone nor ipad nor laptop could log on.

The warm reception on arrival and fab tea and coffee facilities, with nice touches such as cookies provided daily, and toiletries and towels changed daily.Also fab sky channels, plush white linen on beds and pet friendly which was nice to see.computer and printer available 24hours a day exclusively for guest use, and a nice chill out lounge

More milk in fridge and sugar for refreshments, end of bed wood frame kept coming undone,and sockets need checking as one fused and was loose on the wall.other than that perfect and i will be back :)

Fantastic location. Reception very friendly. Dogs and cat at reception! Twin room had double beds in it. Shower great.

The bar staff were quite unfriendly when we tried to get a drink at exactly midnight - although the manager did talk them round

Fabulous staff who really make an effort to be helpful. Comfortable room, good size bathroom with nice toiletries too! Love the ground floor bar and bistro, which has a real buzz in the evening with a huge range of people and good value snacks. First breakfast of the year on the outside terrace. Friendly dogs and superior cat to greet you at reception.

We did notice the noise from people/ traffic at night, however we were aware that this may be the case and will bring ear plugs when we return! (to be fair we live in the middle of a national park, so our default setting is silence). Car parking can involve a short walk if you can't get into the hotel park and the theatre has a popular show (but what's not to like about a short stroll through the Falaise gardens on a lovely night).

We had a very nice overnight stay at this hotel. Nice big room, very clean, very quiet, couldn't ask for more. Food in the restaurant was excellent, and service very good. The staff were overall very nice and welcoming, and made our stay very enjoyable. We'll be back.

As nice as it was to have a sea view, the road in front of the hotel was very noisy, even through closed windows. The breakfast choices of the attached Cafe/Bar were quite limited.
