Rooms backing onto side street--Noise levels--- sound of TVs in adjacent rooms

Location. Staff were very friendly and pleasant. Room had been upgraded. It was spacious and comfortable. Especially liked lights over bed, and 2 small arm chairs for reading. Very comfy bed!

Bathroom was small and oddly shaped. I think anyone less mobile would have struggled to climb in to the bath for shower. No where to hang up bath towels (just hung them over bedroom chairs!) Minor lack of communication with breakfast chef- asked for very well grilled bacon- it wasn't! Staff very apologetic and helpful so v minor 'complaint'.

The location - ideal for visiting Alnwick, Cragside, Bamburgh, etc. The food was very good. The staff were excellent.

Car park small but public parking not too far away and its cheap so no real problem.

I was particularly appreciative of the Vegan menu given to me daily - a rare occurence in other hotels.

Our room was vastly over heated and we could not control the radiator.

Staff were excellent, any query dealt with straight away. Well situated in the town for people who cannot get about well. Breakfasts excellent.

Only let down by the plumbing, which was antiquated and functioned poorly.

Breakfast in the reclaimed ships dinning room fantastic relaxed atmosphere staff friendly and helpful. Seen some bad reviews but our experience very positive. Great breakfast

Noise from street. We stayed on a friday night noise from people going home until 3am plus a number of cars racing past till about same time. As our room on street side hard to miss. Not the fault of the hotel.

service in restaurant was very poor. we were wakened by A drunken noisey group of youths outside our window which overlooked the road outside. but what was even more disturbing was that these youths entered the hotel knocking on our door and trying to open the door. they were noisey using foul language. the incident lasted A number of hours and ruined our sleep.

The room was disappointing although I suspect that it wasn't typical of the hotel's many rooms. At peak times, water pressure in the bathroom was low and, as a result, the toilet's cistern took an excessively long time to fill. The room telephone didn't work, apparantley this was a known fault. The much vaunted Olympia restuarant was only available for one night out of the three nights of our stay due to function requirements. The car park was inadequate,whilst this is probably beyond the hotel's control, it would have been nice to have been given some advice on alternative parking beforehand

loved the Olympic suite very impressive staff were friendly especially the desk manager ;) bed was comfy and room was spacious bathroom was to a high standard overall enjoyed our stay and would recommend it!

breakfast could do with some improvements specially the cooked breakfast wasn't as spectacular as the room we was eating in (Olympic suite) But apart from that can't fault it!

Service at breakfast was very poor - we waited over 30mins for coffee and a further 15 for cooked breakfast. More choice on the self service buffet (cold meats cheese etc) would reduce the number of cooked breakfasts and hence the poor service

excellent service - great breakfast - beautiful dining room and excellent location.

Nothing to complain about.

The Olympic Suite from the White Star Liner is unique and the food within it of a high quality. The age of the hotel coupled with the modern rooms made it an exceptional visit and the Spring Half Board Break was excellent value.

Enjoyed the friendliness of the staff, very helpful and always with a smile

I was a bit disappointed in the cooked breakfast it was delicious but I only wanted bacon and got one slice!! Thought they could have stretched it to two! We also waited a long time which didn't really matter that much as it was busy
