Set on the banks of the River Leven, 4-star Whitewater Hotel is just a mile from Lake Windermere. With scenic views, the hotel also has a riverside restaurant and the Cascades Health and Fitness Club. The Leisure Club features a gym, whirlpool, sauna, swimming pool and steam room. A spa and beauty salon offers a range of treatments, and squash and tennis courts are also available. All rooms have a TV, free tea/coffee and a seating area, and some rooms have lovely river views. Free Wi-Fi is present throughout, and daily newspapers are provided. As a converted mill, the Whitewater has a terrace with views of passing steam trains. The traditional bar serves a light menu, whilst the restaurant offers Lakeland dishes and local produce. Located in the heart of the Lake District, cycling and hiking routes are on the doorstep. The leisure facilities and room were excellent The meal in the restaurant. Service was very slow it took over 90 minutes to be served our main course and then my wife's meal was poor

Loved the restaurant. Excellent food. Also extremely friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel. Lovely modern ensuite bathroom. Room could do with redecoration. Bathroom floor dusty behind door.

spa,restaurant, and most staff. spacious light airy room booked, but given tiny single room with double bed in. less than 30 inches leg room round 3 sides of bed. conned by hotel as client in next room booked thru groupon and got tiny room also. spoiled what shud have been A relaxing break and the girl on the front desk was obnoxious.we would never stay there again.
