The room we were allocated had a view from the window of another roof, the guttering to that roof was immediately at the level of our window sill so the room itself felt very claustrophobic. Also the lighting in the room was extremely poor and one of the bedside lights didn't work, we reported it but nobody came to fix it. The shower was poor, the water just trickled out. Also in the bathroom the supply of things you expect in there wasn't readily available, my wife had to call down to reception to ask if they had a supply of body lotion, to which we think the very helpful receptionist supplied my wife with her own out of her handbag We also booked it for the spa and leisure facilities and again we felt this also was poor, the jacuzzi was broken both days, the pool was very cold and the sauna didn't work properly. The changing rooms also were not very clean and again the staff were not very customer friendly.
The food was really good, enjoyed the breakfast and the main evening meals were of a very high standard. Two members of staff were excellent, the receptionist who greeted us on our arrival was very helpful and a young waitress went the extra mile for us in the Dolly bar, her name was Chloe.
