Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms attractive and lovely soft pillows and duvet. Food in the restaurant good quality and high standard The waiting time for meals in the restaurant - far too long especially when needing to get work done in the evening - need to speed up for business guests!

I enjoyed the ambience of the hotel, the friendly staff and the room was very nice. The dinner was very expensive for what was in it and too many strange items meaning if you wanted vegetables, potatoes you had to pay even more.

Garden was pretty. Staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful, rooms were very small and very hot. Also, very loud wedding in progress( they pride themselves on having more than 200 weddings a year). Pictures are deceitful, show only old part of house and not the new ugly addition. There is also a very large ugly parking lot. Overpriced given the quality.

old house, the cosy room, the complimentary port which I sipped in the comfortable arm chair before bed. all very nice! the peacocks provided a bit of a laugh too. they seemed very curious and looked into the room a few times. staff got a poorer rating because while very pleasant, the first person I met really seemed to struggle with the systems. It was a very slow process to check in. There was a query about rate which she fixed but when I checked out the next morning the error was not fixed and I had to go through a repeat performance explaining what my room rate was. I cannot complain about how nice and professional they all were apart from this small problem.

Lovely venue and location. Excellent, comfortable, quiet room. Only down side was that breakfast wasn't included in the price. We paid £80 for room only, which I think is fairly pricey for a hotel on the outskirts of the city. If the price had included breakfast it would have been good value at an excellent hotel and would have made our stay perfect. As it was, we made alternative arrangements for breakfast.
