The hotel had a very warm and relaxed atmospher, the staff were very pleasant and helpfull the rooms were spacious and cumfortable the beakfast was very good hot, clean and tasty. However this was not enough to destract you from the evening meal which was minuscul, destinctly average in taste and dramatically overpriced very disappointing in deed. This I took up with the hotel at the time and I am still taking up with the managment.

I only chose whittlebury because of location, my first choice was fully booked. It was close to where I needed to be. The bar with all the nice framed motor racing prints was the only redeeming feature in the hotel, some very interesting pictures but no nuts or crisps for sale. Nonsense in a hotel for reps. Personally it was far to big and impersonal. Its perfect for golf folk and conferences but it lacks style, character and charm. The walk from the car-park took too long. The reception rooms are vast in scale despite being full of furniture and the walk to my room took ages and I would advise anyone not able to walk much to ask for a room near reception. The hairdryer didnt work, and the batteries to the remote needed replacing. There was plenty of breakfast but it didn't actually taste of anything. The pool was a disapointment, much too shallow, the celing too high and the decor is unsophisticated and charmless.I Felt I was being accomodated rather like a battery chicken, essentially nonething wrong but not much right either.

Location and cleanliness. Staff not too helpful. Room had very small window tucked around a corner so couldn't even see it from bed. Shower hanging off wall and daughter fell through chair in bedroom as seat wasnt attached to the frame.

The hotel is only a stone's throw from Silverstone GP Circuit. The spa facilities were reasonably good but severely overcrowded. The overall value of our stay was quite good, using one of the online deals through booking.com, but if I had paid the full rate then I would have felt the hotel was severely overpriced. The hotel were unable to tell me whether our room would be available as a twin or not over the phone, prior to booking. However, based on the statement on their website, I took a chance on turning up, then waved a printout of their own website info and my booking request at them on arrival, making it clear that they should have taken the trouble to contact me if they couldn't fulfil this. The duty manager miraculously found that they could actually accommodate, rather than give us a refund. Make sure you look for a good deal when booking because Whittlebury Hall definitely isn't up to the standard of a Seaham Hall or other top spa hotels. The hotel will also tell you that certain packages aren't available when you try to book then offer you the exact same treatments, outside of the package you wanted, at an inflated price when you arrive. The rooms are also quite dated.

Very friendly greeting on arrival, offer to help with bags. Bar staff also very good. Room comfortable, liked the 24 hour room service and also the magazines - so nice to have womens mags rather than local area info only. Good size cups on hostess tray. Very good information pack in the room. Overall our stay was very good and I will definately be coming back so it feels a bit mean to complain , however: Only 1 robe and 1 set of towels in the bathroom for 2 people, could have called housekeeping but it was too late when we realised. We ordered room service which arrived when it was supposed to but with no cutlery, burger & chips so didn't matter but not the point, could have called but didn't want the food to go cold while we waited. On our online booking we enquired about late check out but no one got back to us and we weren't asked when we checked in, we know from the info pack in the room that the service is offered but it would have been nice to know what the arrangements were before we arrived.

Superb aesthetics, very upmarket, with superb facilities. Country Manor style, the whole setting very picturesque. Check in time not til 3pm which was a bit of an inconvenience and also strange as check out time was 11am. Also, drinks were a tad on the expensive side.

The curtains were coming off the rails. No air-conditioning. Cleaning staff standing around outside bedrooms chatting loudly early morning.

The hotel was clean and friendly and the food was very nice. The hotels decor was slightly dated. It felt freshly decorated but the style was very late 80's/ early 90's. I prefer more modern decor.

The room was vastly overpriced for what you get. The room was no better than a Premier Inn hotel room except it was 5 times!!!! The price. Wanted to make it a special night for my girlfriend and it left a sour taste in my mouth and a massive hole in my wallet!!!!!!
