The Hotel is situated in beautiful grounds with lots of wildlife surrounding it. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rather expensive for a small room, with a television that did not work for most of the duration of the visit and hot water that you had to run for 10 minutes to run clear, (it was coming out brown). Unfotunately for us there were two weddings on at the same time we were there so some facilities were a little stretched. No coffees available in the lounge as the staff were seeing to wedding guests. The cooked breakfast was fine, but no sign of any cold meats or cheeses, fruit limited to oranges and grapefruits. |

Quiet and peacefull location, very relaxing. Bar prices not extortionate. Good base for the area in general. Breakfast could have been a bit better! |

Very comfortable, quiet location. Although not in the hotel itself, reference is made to the Shafto's restaurant. We went into the restaurant one eveing and despite there being very few diners, we were shown to a table for two near to a door despite there being many other tables in better locations. We changed our table but left without eating there as after almost ten minutes, no- one came to offer a drink or take our order. |

The staff were extremely helpful and always cheerful. the switch for the bedside lamp was about 12 inches down the wall behind the bedhead. This was not helpful for someone with arthritis and was very awkward for me to turn the lamp on and off. |

Classy hotel in beautiful setting. We live in a quiet place and appreciated the peace. The hotel was a delightful mix of old and new decor, all very tastefully done. The young barman with time on his hands, who took down all the bottles late in the evening and polished the shelves, deserves promotion! |
