Pleasant location as base for visits in the North East. Comfortable, clean, with good services and staff. We had a spacious, quiet room-two very big plus marks for us. Hope you get the post code sorted out so that Sat Nav users don't end up in the housing estate. Until you do, a warning in the booking information would be helpful.

Good service; comfortable accommodation; location; ease of access; relaxing atmosphere Dividing wall between rooms needs to be better insulated for sound (!!) (I stayed in Room No. 28)

Our room had a few issues upon arrival and when I mentioned them we were moved quickly with no problem. The staff in the hotel were all very friendly and we would definately return if we were to visit the area again. As this is not originally a purpose built hotel Each room is slightly different from the others and I found the bed in the first room we were in to hard for my back. Every one is different but it is something I would bear in mind next visit. As the second room the bed was perfect.

Was lovely location, my 2 year old had plenty of space in the room to run around. The Country Park was lovely. We all enjoyed feeding the deer. We were charged for food that we didn't have, it was sorted once the mistake was made, but means someone was possibly under charged (lucky them) When we were in the restaurant it wasn't busy at all we were the only ones in there to start with for about half hour so baffles me how the mistake was made.

Its location was superb. The staff were all freindly but at the same time proffessional. The food was excellent and thourghly enjoyed. The room was very clean and comfortable. We truley enjoyed our stay with you and will be using your hotel un the future and will pass our experience on to other friends and family. Thank you. All be it this is a minor hitch my only down point would be the reception on the television in our room.

Well located for County Durham in a pleasant parkland location. It has style and the restaurant is excellent. The decor is an acquired taste- Las Vegas meets the North East!

The grounds were absolutely beautiful and well maintained. The communal areas were very well presented. The staff were very polite and delivered excellent customer service. Our hotel room was very shabby and was very badly presented. The window was painted shut. The carpet was dirty. Our mattress smelt stale. We and fellow guests were freezing cold during the night. The bed covers were old and thread bare. There were stains down the wall paper and the pictures on the wall were once damp and showed mould on them. Not what you would expect for such a expensive room rate!

We loved the quiet setting of the hotel within a deer park and set in the middle of rolling countryside. We had a lovely view over the park and the only disturbing noise (if you could call it that) was the birds singing at 4.30am! There was really nothing we didn't like. The only criticism would be that the decor is a little tired and the very modern looking reception area, which would be well placed in a new hotel, is not in keeping with the character of the hotel.
