The hotel is set in beautiful grounds and Bradford on Avon is a lovely historic town . The hotel was comfortable and breakfast fine .
The hotel was fairly quiet when I was there due to a function. But Nicky on reception organised my massage with Germaine (Passey-Brown) at very short notice. I held out little hope. And thank you for chatting to me for several hours better than watchin tv any day...Hospitality was great from the super polite waiter at dinner to the lovely waitress at breakfast and housekeeping that delivered buscuits on day one. Rooms are excelent especially the bathrooms fab.
This is not a big city chain but very friendly and very friendly noyhing not to like...
Poor lighting in bedroom. No bedside table on one side and light obscured by fake 4 poster bed frame. Could not read in bed.
Very friendly staff beautiful room and really comfy beds. Ok wifi connection. Lovely pool. Big fluffy towels. Nice breakfast. Perfect setting
Had room service menu in the lounge bar. Not that great. Bath in the evening was lovely but the shower in the morning very erratic. Acts stopped at one point
Rooms were exceptional
Swimming pool Service at breakfast slow, waiter took our order (wrote it down) came out wrong
bed, charm, breakfast, room service.
plumbing, cleanliness of swimming pool esp. changing rooms, dinner.
rooms were very good location for us was great.we had our daughter and family with us and they rely enjoyed the experience.
the bar did not fit with what we are used to. I E there was no actual bar just drinks on show. the swimming pool was dirty and the steeps felt unsafe as the were loose.
Room - spacious and well lit food - very good quality staff - helpful and friendly
Food- dinner menu VERY limited choice WiFi - non-existent pool/gym facilities - pool size was good for a hotel but water starting to look milky (not a good sign in a swimming pool). Gym - not well maintained and equipment not kept in good order. "Fitness Centre" building needs urgent and significant updating - ladies changing room is disgusting.
Friendly helpful staff. Good facilities Excellent food.
Location near Bradford and canal walks; swimming pool; fresh bottled water in the room; bed very comfortable; made lovely porridge at our request!
Breakfast could have included fresh fruit; bathroom great for disabled, but for us had no shelf or place to put anything; decor all grey and white - modern but perhaps not our taste; frequent swimming lessons does reduce the availability of a quiet pool.
This was our third stay at Widbrook Grange and it never fails to please. A peaceful location on the edge of Bradford on Avon. The food is excellent the rooms always clean and well stocked with tea or coffee. Helpful staff.
Rooms were spacious and tasteful. Breakfast was superb with excellent selection for all tastes.
Heat in swimming pool environment was a little excessive,
excellent place to stay
> Nice location > good rooms with large comfy beds and a good en-suite > good breakfast > reception staff good and friendly
Swimming pool and changing facilities. In need of a total makeover. Lack of seats. There were only 2 loungers and 2 chairs (all in plastic) and a bit old. The changing rooms didn't have any towels, the showers didn't work, the actual rooms were untidy and grotty. It was very uninviting. So much so even the children didn't want to go back. Breakfast staff person we had was very miserable and unprofessional. His manners were very unfriendly and unhelpful. Out of the 3 staff working that morning he was the only one who let down the hotel big time.
Hotel location was just right as we were visiting relative in both Bradford on Avon and Trowbrigde.
The pool was taken over from mid afternoon until about 7pm by lessons, also some mornings. One of the reasons for booking a hotel with a pool was to be able to swim after a day out. Also we did think that there would be a treatment room, not a therapist coming to the room, very disappointed. The room was not part of the hotel and the steps leading to it were dirty, the mat outside of the door was worn out and there was an old flowerpot with cigarette ends - not a very good advert we thought. Also the light in the outside lobby was not working so trying to unlock the bedroom door after dark proved difficult! If we had wanted a motel, which is how it seemed to us, we wouldn't have gone to the expense of an hotel!!
Within easy reach if town centre and close to a good walk alongside the canal
Not enough choice on hotel restaurant menu
Plenty of nature and rabbits and white pigeon
I think the shower facilities was not that great!!!!
the fabric design of the curtains a nightmare dated look 1970. The bathroom was not clean, round the taps on the sink and bath with lots of brown crud. The trim round the bath and shower very brown and the floor was not clean expecially around the edges of the toilet, side of the bath and the sink pedestal. The floor tiles were very dirty The actual bedroom was clean. Very dissapointed that the pool was out of action. This was the reason for selecting Widbrook Grange.
Wasn't informed swimming pool unuseable
Breakfast really nice and staff at breakfast room excellent and professional ,room in separate building so it was really quiet.
Too expensive for rooms standard, been in better rooms for cheaper price understand the expensive location but room wasn't worth it's price, bathroom need re decorating
Excellent meals, super large bed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Golden wedding flowers and cake a lovely suprise
This was expensive we paid extra for four poster bed and it wasn't dressed we told them but wasn't offer money back . Pool was in different annex and small nothing to do unless walked .
Huge bed Beautifully Manicured Grounds Friendly staff Great breakfast
I thought the staff were exceedingly polite , and very helpful.
