The hotel was in beautiful grounds and very relaxing. We didn't spend too much time there on the Saturday as we were out visiting family but we had breakfast the day after which was lovely as were the staff especially the young lady who served us who I believe was called Bethany. All lovely.

The location of the hotel surrounded by fields and the quality of the lounge/public areas. Friendliness of owner Double bed too small, plumbing needs improvement to increase water flow at shower.

Buildings and layout. Good clean rooms, nicely decorated. Nice lounges and dining area in main house. Food was a bit pretentious. Menu had fresh food but odd mixture of flavours on some dishes.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the accommodation fine for our short term stay. Best of all was the quality of the food - the dinner we had just blew us away and was much better than expected - and at a reasonable price. We look forward to ur next visit. The pool was out of use when we there and a larger bed would have been appreciated - especially in such a spacious room. Bathroom was small and not easy to use. Not major disadvantages, however, for a short stay.

A warm, welcoming, small family run hotel. We would recommend it to any discerning visitor. Reception rooms and bedrooms were clean and tastefully furnished and arranged, with much attention to detail. Although we did not use the pool and the gym, on inspection the facilities appeared almost the same standard one would find in a typical Marriott hotel (our usual venue when we are on our travels). The restaurant prices were very reasonable. The food and wine was better than one would expect at the price. There were seven people in our party and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A problem which could have happened at any hotel: no hot water late Saturday night because, we were told, the boiler broke down. (But repaired by early next morning!).

Very friendly staff, we needed a hotel with a family room and it was a lovely little stable type conversion. Quiet & peaceful. The breakfasts were excellent and the dining room was attractively decorated. I imagine it would be perfect for weddings, it is a very charming building with lots of character. On our first night we found a small lizard had crept in the room and being 3 females & creepy crawly haters,we rang reception, 2 young girls & the manageress came over and it was 11.30pm & turned the room upside down to find and remove it amidst fits of laughter!! Only that being late november & very cold, we had to walk across the courtyard to get to the main hotel, dining room, bar etc.

Friendly; welcoming staff. Beautiful surroundings. Lovely location and brilliant transport links into Bath city centre. The only critisism is that the breakfast service was a little slow. Table not cleared before serving the cooked breakfast.

Extremely friendly staff. We stayed in the main house, which is full of character and very cosy. Excellent food, particularly for the Fur and Feathers event, that just happened to be on our first night. Room: Very good size and character and comfort, with everything you'd need. Good size swimming pool. One you can decently exercise in if you want to. Very well located for visiting Bradford-on-Avon. A bit hard to see the entrance when you arrive in the dark, particularly as it's on a bit if a bend. A sign 100yds or so down the road would have been helpful. Wine a little on the expensive side. Decor in need of a bit of a touch up in places, but nothing major. Requested newspaper didn't turn up (Staff were very apologetic).

This was our third visit there in 18 months. It's in a quiet location on the outskirts of Bradford on Avon, within easy reach of Bath and several other interesting attractions. We like the country house ambience, and its heated indoor swimming pool, and the cost of b&b is quite reasonable for this quality of hotel. So we keep returning there as a base for our local sight-seeing trips.

Unfortunately we did not get a chance to sample an evening meal there, but the atmosphere was calming and very relaxing, and as we stayed in a room with a fourposter bed, we found are stay suited our purpose, we will be going back for a longer stay. the only factor i can fault with it limited choice of beverages in the bar, i.e it situated near one of the countries best breweries, yet poor ale selection, but a good wine choice, and that it did not have a separate bar were you could chill out.

Room was quiet but it was in a annexe away from main hotel Having a room in a annexe not good in the rain even though they provided umbrellas. We booked hotel also for the restaurant but they changed the menu brtween booking and our arrival much less choice. Also restaurant had small children running around the tables at 8-30 in the evening, not what I expect from a fine dining restaurant.

The setting and grounds were lovely and the staff very welcoming and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms are reasonable. The breakfast wes excellent and plentiful. The pool was nice, especially as we had an 11 year old with us. The location was good, very close to Bradford on Avon, which is a beautiful little town. The only thing we really didn't like were the beds, which were very uncomfortable. The decor in general is quite tired and in need of updating, but isn't awful and the plumbing is a bit old.

My sister-in-law booked a night for us for our 40th wedding anniversary, which included a trip to the Iford Arts Festival. We were absolutely thrilled to bits with Widbrook Grange and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The young staff were exceptionally helpful and pleasant and the hotel itself very comfortable. We had an evening meal there too which was of a high standard.
