I thought the cleanliness could have been improved there was a lack of basic house keeping in the room eg the skirting boards were in need of a thorough clean and the edges of the floor in bathroom also were in need of a good clean. |

I enjoyed nothing about this hotel - should have stayed at Premier Inn opposite "Restaurant" is a poor description for a self-service canteen - Gym is tiny - but most of all was the state of the room...dirty net curtains hanging off window, mouldy window frame, wallpaper peeling off wall, broken tiles in bathroom, cheap fittings in bathroom, rusty and mouldy plug holes in bath and sink, hole in duvet cover, broken trouser press (in fact, rotary dial was physically broken)... |

I booked the hotel as it was near to a conference I was to attendat Wrightington Hospital and had previously stayed in a Britannia Hotel in Manchester. At the time I was there (one night) the place was overrun with school children running the corridors but this was not the hotel's fault - more the staff looking after them. However, once they were in bed there was no problem |

The bar area is not very encouraging, in particular the clear visual appearance of a pool table and a dart board, I think lowere the tone. |

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. Everything we needed was in the room. Two of our rooms, we booked four, were not as well decorated as the other two. We didn't have headboards?! |

staff were very friendly and helpful, if you can get a good deal for this hotel then its worth the money as it has some good facilities the bed was lumpy and the cleaning staff obviously not paid attention to what needed cleaning as same one for a laugh had thrown a used tea bag at the wall and the stains from this had not been wiped away, just a lack of care. |

Proximity to M6 and decent Pub accross the road serving reasonable meals. It is rated 3* and that is what you get. For a 1 night stop it was good value. Restaurant closed and only limited bar menu. Swimming pool advertised but this was at an extra cost. Continental Breakfast at £6.00pp was reasonable but it was somewhat bizare to be asked if we would like toast, even though there was the usual rolling toaster but no bread! |

It was very reasonable and the staff were pretty friendly The dripping tap, the unclean room, the fact that the bar couldn't sell me a bottle of water because they didnt have any!!! I was also in a no smoking room that smelled as if someone had just put out a cigarette. All in all, very poor room. |

the staff were very friendly. Room comfortable. Breakfast well laid out with good choice of full or continental. Set menu at dinner with lukewarm soup. Very poor choice at bar. Brochure states wide choice of wine. Only one white and no rose wine |
