Drinks were reasonably priced and service ok Rooms were to hot as the heating was on on a warm day. The residents bar closed early. The room was very basic compared to other hotels that are the same price. The kettle was not fit for use.

Its location and quietness. Breakfast chaotic. No-one to check you in find you a table. Tasteless bacon, scrambled egg, coffee. All tinned fruit.

This is a basic hotel which is reasonably comfortable, with clean rooms that the traveller or visitor needing to keep an eye on budgets will find meet their requirements. We had a peaceful night and a traditional buffet style breakfast in the morning with cereals and cooked eggs suasage and tomato. It is not a case here of disliking elements of the hotel as appreciating that some parts of it are ready for redecorating/refurbishment. Having said that the hotel remains good value for money

I liked the price upon booking the room. It was £29 for a one night stay midweek. The hotel was old and outdated, poor decoration, cracked sink in the bathroom. I checked out early at 05:45 and had to search the hotel for a member of staff to check me out and was then told the system was down.

The breakfast was good although the coffee was instant not real coffee or even nescafe! It was very tired, needed lots of updating, not very clean and not very modern. Also there was an extra charge to residents to use the pool or gym facilities.

Friendly welcome and location very near to the m6 There was nothing to really "not like" It was good value for money. On principle I like the quoted cost to be what I pay to the hotel reception. Please make your website clearly state any "add-ons" on arrival.....it was only £2-00 but there's no need to hide it in the terms and conditions.

I liked leaving the best about my stay at this hotel. We didn't like having to sleep in a bed that had a broken base. We didn't like being unable to get anything to eat after 9.30pm. We didn't like not getting a response to our complaint from the Hotel's head office or customer services.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The ambiguous information we got. The fact that we couldn't pay by Debit Card without a £2 charge. That is ridiculous.

Reasonable breakfast and parking was ok. On arrival was asked how I wanted to pay and was told a charge of £2 would apply for payment on credit card so I say I would pay on debit card and the charge would still apply!!! I am sure in some obscure small print it says somewhere that a £2 charge applies to pay any other way than cash but certainly not clear. I use booking.com a lot and have never experienced this before.

To be honest we didn't rate it at all and will never stay in one again. The accommodation was very dated, wall paper flaking off the walls, uncomfortable beds, mould in between the tiles in the bathroom and very poor service in the restaurant.

Decent breakfast, warm clean rooms, good staff Wireless broadband is useless, very limited reach into hotel rooms with availability only gauranteed in public area. However even in the public area it was unusable. Don't believe you'll be able to work from the hotel via wireless, you will not!! The hot water in the shower was literally scaldingly hot, don't leave children alone with this!!!

The bar area was shabby & not well set out. The food was poor with not much choice. The beer was flat , I think this was due to bad cellar management. Also there was no music or atmosphere. Twice I had 2 go and find staff to man the bar.

We found it ideal for meeting up with our family who were on a caladonion trip as we live in stoke. There was nothing we didnt like as we were upstairs in room 224 and the windows opened but in our relatives room downstairs there windows did not open and would have been clostraphobic for us as we like to sleep with a window ajar.

Location & breakfast are good. Reception was totally disinterested in their work and was hell bent on ignoring me in favour of discussing the previous night's encounters. The ice on the car park was treacherous. If it wasn't so boring I'd say it was gloomy.

Location and price were both unbeatable. The Hotel and rooms desperately need a freshen up - paint,, carpets etc. The whole interior is very dated and my room was dingy because of the yellowing walls. Breakfast across the road in the premiere inn was much cheaper and very good.

Value for money. It is very hard to think of what could be done to improve the hotel in its price range. It was quiet and lots of hot water. Controlled parking i.e. barriers would be a good improvement.

This was the worst hotel I ever stayed in. Rooms were extremely dirty and filthy. There was so much of dust that I can't imagine. There was this horrible smell in the rooms and I changed two rooms. It is an extremely old hotel but at least they could have kept it clean. I booked it for two nights but fortunately I had to check out for some reason. But otherwise also I was gonna check in some other hotel. Just stay away from that hotel.
