We liked the proximity to Oxford street. Also liked the fact that we were on the ground floor, (getting too old for climbing stairs). As smokers we were near the front door for when we needed to pop out for a cigarette. We found our room clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definately stay here again, and will also recommend this hotel to friends and family. One minor issue. Would have liked to have had a rubber mat to put in the bath when showering, as it was a little slippery.

I very much liked the location of the hotel which was near shopping areas and public transport. Clean rooms. Where shall I start. We could feel people actually walking in the room above and it was loud especially at night. Stair case was quite steep and the kids kept stumbling so that was very dangerouse. The breakfast area is compact and enough for 5 groups only, and others had to go back. No lift . No staff after 10pm. Very expensive for the facilities provided.

The facilities in room 11 were great with lots more space than we had anticipated. The shower could only be used 'handheld' but everywhere was spotless Although I slept well the other members of theparyy found the road and environmental noise loud and did not sleep well.

The Family Room was very good value and meant the kids could stay in their own beds in the same room as us, which made them feel secure, the room was very spacious for them to play with any toys after their shopping trip in London!

Close to Oxford Street, very good English breakfast, room was quite ok, relatively cheap in the area. Heating is only working for limited time, if you're not in the hotel during that short period of time, you might need an extra blanket (ask reception what time they have heating). I also had problems with hot water availability. Staff was helpful, but since they're not there 24/7, they could not help the previous night only on the second day.

For £125 this represented very poor value for money. The room was dingy, the carpet was very poor, obviously cleaned into oblivion and still with dirty patches and not properly fitted. One radiator in the room did not work..although this was denied by reception. There was a portable oil heater in the room which we did not realise until the morning. So we were cold at night. Never again. I use booking . com a lot and have not been disappointed before. This should be downgraded, or offered at a lower price. Breakfast was better than the room. Essentially this was a room in a samll shabby guest house and not a hotel. Horrid......

It was very convenient for Oxford Street and surrounding areas Our room was comfortable We found the breakfast room very cramped and noisy with wooden chairs being scraped on the tiled floors, how about felt pads put on the base of the chair legs

Great location close to shops and tube. Restaurants close by and bedrooms large with an Edwardian feel to them. Good breakfast and a good nights sleep. It had a b&b feel about it and could do with updating. However, for the money and based on midweek prices, it wasn't bad value!

The hotel was extremely loud due to "paper walls" and the rooms were extremely small but 5 square meters is ok for 1 night when you are tired from the shopping and only want to sleep.. But the wind was blowing through the hotel and the doors were squrkreking all the night so I wasnt able to have a rest enough.. One good point for this hotel is due to location. Hotel is located only 4 mins from Oxford street (Primark) whats absolutely great for me. No more..

“Perfect location for shopping and sightseeing. Room was very pleasant at 8th floor, calm and light. Comfortable beds, clean floor carpet and good space. Nice, clean bathroom. Elegant reception area with sofa groups. Enjoyed the breakfast and a good dinner meal at the hotel in the evenings. All hotel staff members we met were professional and very friendly. Thistle Marble Arch a natural choice next time visiting London. ” Liv, Hommersåk |
