There were no problems with the room. I asked for an extra sheet on arrival and this was seen too. Staff were helpful

The meal was excellent, and the restaurant was nicely put together. The room especially the bathroom needed updating, it was a good size though.

The staff were helpful and friendly, even when stressed out by an evening powercut during our overnight stay! The food was good and the location excellent for the Lake District. The room was a little small, but extremely comfortable, except that the duvet was very hot for good sleeping ! and the bed a bit soft for our aching bones! The narrow corridor outside our room meant that we could hear footsteps going past. There are also a couple of low doorways, so watch out if you are tall! We would be happy to stay again

The food, although expensive, was absolutely superb. Our room was on the ground floor near an entrance and some stairs. This meant it was quite noisy.
