The staff were very friendly and attentive. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent. The bed was a little uncomfortable, but I guess that is personal preference.

Check in was very good and a taxi booked for us straight away when we needed one. Breakfast was also very good and was included in the price of the hotel. Don't get the bottom floor - no views and can be noisy if there is an event going on - as we were at another event and came back late it didnt affect us too much.

The location was excellent for our purpose and set well back from the main road in pleasant grounds. The black and white timber framed building qas also interesting. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. The hotel and bedroom was clean, warm and generally comfortable. There were good views across the lovely Cheshire countryside. The breakfast was satisfactory. Would stay again The restaurant food was a bit too plentiful and well cooked, but could have done with a bit more imagination and variation on the plate. Furnishings and decore, although clean, could be improved by being a bit more in keeping with the hotel.

Comfortable bed. Very nice breakfast. Beautiful countryside. Helpful staff. Polystyrene tiles on ceiling of groundfloor corridor outside bedrooms let down otherwise smart decor in hotel. Also, there was a slightly odd smell in that corridor and in our bedroom. Although our room was perfectly clean, dirty marks on the wallpaper and peeling paint on the wall outside out window spoiled the overall impression.

My daughter's wedding was very efficiently My daughtwer's wedding was handled with great efficiencly and care bythe Wild Boar. Despite 21 babies among the guests, there were no problems and the staff were extremely helpful. The marquee was lovley and the wedding food and breakfasts were excellent.

Fantastic breakfast, friendly staff, pleasant location, would stay there again. Although not a dislike, our bed seemed to consist of a double base with a king size mattress, although this was ok when sleeping, you couild not sit on edge of bed, could do with some tlc.

Beautiful Tudor country house in lovely countryside. Very friendly helpful staff. Easy parking. I didn't use the restaurant, but had an excellent meal in the bar. Superb buffet breakfast with everything you could want. Really can't fault this hotel.

The room was very nice, but the bathroom was a bit gloomy and small. The breakfast was excellent. We had sandwiches for lunch which were good too. There was a very helpful young man who showed us to our room and took our order at the bar I had booked four rooms, but they were not in my name when I checked in, but in the name of one of our guests, then when that same guest arrived, his room had been given to some one else not in our party! Apart from the young man on the bar, there seemed to be no more staff about at all

The hotel building was very unusual and the atmosphere was great. The staff were very helpful, and the breakfasts were excellent. The shower had very little power and was more a dribble than a shower.
