We had a fantastic stay at The Wild Boar ( was there for a friends wedding) the staff were lovely couldn't do enough for us. Would highly recommend staying here.

I enjoyed my stay and the room was clean and tidy .. Very nice staff and the food excellent.. It's a hotel I will go back to ..

Had a lovely and very reasonably sized room in newer part of the hotel. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Good value for money and will definitely stay again.

No remote for tv in room and even when reception supied one it was not working, we were going out for the night so didnt bother to try again as we didn't really use the tv. Our view was of a grassy bank 3 ft from bedroom window but didn't affect our one night stopover.

The setting Reception staff were helpful and friendly.

The décor was shabby some touching up needs to be done. The bar staff had little idea of how to present drinks, no lemon or lime given with gin and tonic. And they served Scotch in a brandy glass, most odd. We had steak and it was overdone despite asking for medium-rare, they tried to push a Valentines menu at £35.00 per head seemed on since valentines day was two days before our stay.

Lovely, character building, very helpful and friendly staff.

We were close by this hotel at a function for which we needed a taxi. Due to its location the taxi cost was very expensive even though we were less than 2 miles away! Not the hotels fault directly, just due to its location

There for a wedding, an overnight stay, it was everything we needed and I'd have no hesitation in returning. The breakfast was particularly nice and I slept well. What more can you ask?

1. Breakfast and Dining facilities excellent. 2. Scenic views. 3. After hours service at the bar albeit for 1 drink. Some one was available.

1. No lift facilities. 2. No concierge assistance on arrival. 3. Desk unoccupied when assistance was required. 4. Limited toiletries in the room. ie. soap/shampoo/towels for a family room (3 people, 2 towels?)

The staff were great, the receptionist gave us a touring the historical parts. Food was great and the the hotel was wonderfully comfortable

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was fantastic, a little on the large side :) A great bar with very nice selection of beers and wines. Great parking and a very nice looking establishment. A great stay.
