Room was comfortable
Wi-fi had to find code to log in again
The hotel is close to where my father lives, so I stay there when I visit him. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The food is good and so is the wine.
Very nice hotel, good facilities and friendly staff. Will definitely use again
We have stayed here several times & we have always had a nice reception,, Everything good especially the food in the bar, I had Fish & Chips which were excellent & my partner had Fillet Steak which she enjoyed very much.. Portions were large so be careful having starters if you are not ravenous!!
Drinks a bit pricey but there again all hotels are ....
Staff very helpful and friendly
Disabled access difficult
A pleasant reception, comfy room, and the best breakfast I,ve had to date,in any hotel.
Service Value for money Nice staff
Single beds in single occupancy room. Too small & uncomfortable
Staff very friendly and helpful
Good facilities good staff excellent food
Food really good.....service likewise
Cleaners bit eager abit too early in morning
The staff could not have been more helpful, and the room was very quiet which helped me to have a great night's sleep, I would certainly recommend this hotel to everyone.
From the photo of the hotel I did not realize that it had so many steps up to the hotel, my sister has difficulty with climbing stairs and had I known about this before I would probably not have booked.
Large room size, quiet location
Reception staff very helpful.
Breakfast staff and service was very poor.
Comfy beds. Great breakfast. Staff polite and welcoming. Twin room had a nice spacious feel to it and two armchairs. Great!
No complaints here.
We were upgraded to the honeymoon suite which was lovely - particularly the bathroom with whirlpool bath, jet shower, slate floor etc. The gardens were beautifully kept and we really enjoyed a walk around them.
The swimming pool, steam and sauna room were excellent.
There was a distinct lack of signs in changing room for ease of access to pool and other facilities. A costume dryer would have been helpful.
Competitive price, breakfast especially good quality, rooms good facilities.
One major problem this hotel has no lounge area for residents, so after a meal you cannot relax with a drink anywhere.
A lovely welcome from the young lady on reception and the two young men waiting on tables for breakfast. I only stayed one night and didn't eat in the hotel other than breakfast.
Very little really. Picky I know but the pillows were very flat.
Staff were friendly and polite. Very comfortable room and excellent food.
Minor niggles. Wifi was difficult to logon to with laptop and shower hose leaked badly which made for a poor shower.
the beautiful garden, service, lovely food, terrace, frienly staff
Have stayed here previously and love this hotel!. Staff very friendly cannot do enough for you. Rooms lovely, location great, food lovely and value for money.
Nothing what so ever
The staff were attentive and helpful. Food was very good and a good selection in the Bistro. Breakfast (traditional B&E) was served rather than self service. Value for money.
Only one comment about Breakfast. The staff were helpful and took our order for the main breakfast; however, no sooner did we start our starter (cereal/fruit) then the waiter brought the hot meal instead of being aware what the customers were eating and waiting for us to finish before bringing the plate with B&E. This was for everyone that i saw who ordered breakfast.
Good hotel with great facilities
Room was not cleaned properly. Dusty, finger marks on things, hair in the bath and dead flies on the window sill. Breakfast was poor. Lack of selection for an up market hotel and very messy
Food in Figs Brasserie, although the room was not as clean as it should be. We know the hotel well since we enjoyed our wedding reception there fifty two years ago!
Although we were given a room suitable for disabled (having a wet room,) it was situated at the furthest point from reception down two short flights of stairs and an incredibly long corridor. Of course the end (fire) door was locked and alarmed, and this necessitated myself having to negotiate the long corridor. A minor point - safety rails were installed in the wet room, but there were no handles to enable the occupant to exit safely, and nothing to hold onto whilst towelling.
