Location. swimming pool/gym. Walking by cleaner/maintainance doors left wide open, spoilt the look of a nice hotel.

Stayed here before as I have family in the area and this, again, was for a family celebration. As ever, service was friendly and efficient and a meal for 16 in the Brasserie Saturday night was just right for our varied ages. Family living locally know the hotel well. Some people may miss a lift, but I had young strong grandson to carry my suitcase upstairs.

Our visit was influenced by the arrangements made by other members of our family for a birthday celebration. The atmosphere was good and friendly particularly the staff at reception. Parking facilities were good.

Friendly and attentive staff. No sign on the outside of the hotel indicating that this was the Hotel Entrance. We mistook the entrance for the front of the Hairdressers

As we mainly need to stay as close to our son's university halls of residence the position of the hotel is ideal. We like the size of the rooms we have stayed in as we do not feel cramped. We enjoy the food even though it is not a typical restaurant style menu. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The only thing we feel the hotel needs is somewhere for guests to sit in comfort to enjoy a drink and chat after a meal. Part of the table areas could easily be converted to a 'lounge' area.

When arriving at Willerby Manor, my partner and I received an upgrade to a beautiful deluxe room with four poster bed and excellent en suite. It was also nice to be able to go for a relaxing swim before dinner. The hotel staff were very friendly. I had booked a smoking room, this was not available and was only informed on arrival (I guess this is why we were upgraded so can't really complain too much about it). I was extremely disappointed with the dining experience as I had booked the Dinner, B & B for my partner's birthday and when we sat down, we were adviseed to write out our own orders with the table number and hand it in at the bar (even Wetherspoons take your order), it felt like a second rate cafe not what I would have expected from Best Western. Definitely very disappointing!

Excellent, well equipped room. Hotel in very quiet location. Plenty of parking spaces. DOn't choose the Yorkshire Ham and Eggs for breakfast. The Ham is of the wafer-thin -water-laden supermarket variety

The location was ideal for us as we were taking our son to start at Hull University. The price for dbb was good value. It was easy to find with good parking. The rooms were of a good size with beautiful bathrooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying there again when we visit our son. Although the food we ate was very good, there was not as much choice for the plain eater (my husband). It would have been lovely to be able to go and sit in a lounge type area after the meal and enjoy drinks and conversation. We were still really in the dining room as there was nowhere else to go apart from the entrance.

The staff at the hotel were all amazingly lovely and nice. Chris the night manager was so accommodating and jolly and really professional - he was just such a nice guy. So was the french waitress in the restraunt and at breakfast and the other female waitress - they were just all so kind and helpful and nice. They were chatty and interested and I was just so impressed with them all. The piano payer in the bar on saturday night was also a really lovely touch. The beautician wasn't there and we weren't told until we went to book pamper sessions at the gym. We were gutted! This was a pamper weekend for us - but it turned out to be a pamperless weekend and we were very disappointed.

very hospitable and good service The bed was horrendous. Very low, soft. We were awake at 4am because it was so un comfortable and could not relax.Only a small part of a toilet roll in the bathroom and one large towel between two of us.

This hotel is a gem! The rooms were clean and tidy with free wi-fi, really nice cotton sheets and a power shower! The gymnaisum was well equipt and good enough to get a good session out of it. The restaurant was busy every night (sign of a good restaurant!) and the food was devine!I would 100% recommend this hotel to any travelling business person wanting to stay over in Hull! Seemed to be a lot of wasps in the garden and also found a couple in my room.

From arrival at reception through drinks at the bar and an evening meal, all the staff went out of their way to make sure it was an enjoyable stay. The hotel gardens were beautifully kept and it was a joy to sit outside for my evening meal with the gas heaters keeping out the chill as time passed. I often find that breakfast is a good indicator of hotel quality and this did not disappoint. There was a good selection of cereals, fruit and juices laid out for guests to help themselves, followed by freshly made cooked breakfast as required. I left the hotel repleat and happy - and hoping to return one of these days.

The Terrace bar was perfect for a glass of wine in the early evening sunshine. We enjoyed the meal in Figs brasserie and the service was good. The room was very clean and fresh and looked as if it had been recently re-decorated. The gardens were pleasant for a short stroll. Overall we found it a very enjoyable experience and we hope to return.

I have stayed in this hotel twice as my friends live just around the corner and I have to say this visit was much better than the last time I went. My room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the shower was amazing. Usually you just get a dribble but this one was really powerful. Free Wi-Fi and although I didn't go, there is a Spa and Massage facilities. Definatly recommended! Last time I stayed I had the included full English breakfast. It didn't live up to my expectations. The backon was a little undercooked and the black pudding tasted like card. So I didn't have it this time. The Continental breakfast is a little expensive. There's a Tesco garage not to far away, so stop there first.

stayed one night under unfortunate circumstances as had to attend a family funeral, hotel hosted the wake, the staff and buffet food was very good. Have stayed in many hotels over the years and rated this hotel very highly until breakfast the next morning, oh dear! Inclusive 'Yorkshire' full breakfast did not live up to its name....having being used to a full 'english' the quanity was very poor, could not have been less food, enough for females in party but males were left extremely hungry and having to cook your own toast...I don't think so, and at £11.50 per person it was a complete rip off...shame as hotel staff were very nice although felt hotel bedrooms needed a bit of an update decor wise.
