Suitable position in Fallowfield, Manchester. The hotel was booked for a wedding function - all evening meals unavailable to residents... is that hotel policy? |

The lady at check in was superb - welcoming but brisk and efficient. The room was good, although a bit small. The bathroom was a bit tired - clean but could do with a refurb sometime soon. |

The staff were excellent - from giving us directions when we were lost on the otherside of Manchester to booking a taxi for us and for the price I paid i wasn't expecting it to be quite as nice as it was. |

As a traveler who visits hotels each week I have experienced the range of standards within Uk but even with the reasonable tariff it is still difficult to find one acceptable feature. The basic requirement is a clean room and pleasant staff and this particular hotel failed dismally on both counts. Having stayed at quite a few of the other hotels in the best western group, this was by far the worst experience. Updating the curtains and duvet covers is not a refit. Room in poor state of repair, and many of the staff seemed to have low morale and therefore not interested in serving guests. |

The breakfast was excellent and the hotel had a peaceful atmosphere. . I have trouble walking and found the lift useful. The garden was pretty as is the setting. That the chambermaid walked into the room without knocking or announcing herself. I felt chased out of my room as a second maid knocked within minutes, even though they were in the hallway and must have seen I was still there. |

It was comfortable with pleasant staff and has easy access to the city centre via the comprehensive, and cheap, bus route The flooring in general tends to be very squeaky and also when the rooms above you are occupied it can be quite annoying |

A good hotel with comfortable bed and excellent location on a main bus route into Manchester. As is often the case with hotels, the rooms were far too hot even though the radiator was off. And the barman didn't know how to serve a gin & tonic! |

Very clean hotel with friendly staff and bucks fizz for breakfast! Can't fault them myself. Secure parking available out the back at an extra £2.50 per day was well worth booking as well. They even let us leave our car there all day after checking out. Hotel is situated on a very busy (but not noisy) bus route into the city and close to the curry mile. Some reviews I read mentioned that the rooms were small, which they are - about a foot either side of the bed, but this didn't cause us a problem as we only stayed one night. Longer stays may be more problematic if you intend to live out of your suitcase but not if you put all your stuff away in the cupboards and drawers provided. |

Our stay was pleasant and covered our basic needs for the business meeting attended. However it would have been good to know a wedding had been booked in. The layout from rooms to the restaurant was not easy to negotiate and even harder if older and disabled. |

Room contained a double bed, although really the room was only big enough for a single bed = cramped. |
