Staff were pleasent
The rooms were small and it wasn't alway easy to find places to put things
We were there for a funeral, the location was perfect.
Great Bar, decent restaurant and excellent breakfast
Bedrooms looking a little tired and need of redecoration, but very clean
once the staff knew I was visiting someone at the Christies hospital they could not do enough to ensure I had everything I needed even keeping the restaurant open later than usual so I had a cooked meal. the room was serviced daily including fresh towels.
there was no lift and no one to assist with heavy bags. reception is upstairs and not on the ground level. its not very disabled friendly. doors do not stay open so you can get through with bags.
If you need a good place to stay with decent facilities this the one. I will definitely be coming back on my future trips to Manchester.
Food very reasonable. Bar area relaxing
Decor not well thought out
Reasonable price. Lively location in student area. Nice walk into town. Breakfast very nice.
All was OK
Rooms smelt damp towels didn't smell clean only 1 bath towel between 2 entrance dirty bathroom dirty will I be back not a chance
Our clothes smelt damp on leaving the hotel and I feel it was a little over priced for the size and quality of the room.
Quiet room Comfortable bed Good location for our needs Secure car park Good breakfast
Lobby areas look tired and in need of refurbishment as do the rooms Room a bit small Bathroom a bit small
service was very good, and all the staff were very helpful. Rooms as we stayed twice were roomy and very clean.
Our last room was a bit warm and maybe needed a fan or a air conditioner , we did open the window to let some breeze in .
Excellent value for money. Most important it was very central to Manchester City for commuting on a daily basis . With a 4 pound daily ticket, you could not beat that for value.Location was perfect for us. 20 Minutes to the airport by bus, no need for a Taxi. We will be back. soon again. Breakfast - great choice and very well cooked.
The decor was a bit tired. Lots of parking space, but charged at £5 per night.
Hotel was fine, friendly and helpful staff, room good!
Having to pay an extra £10 per person for breakfast when paying over £100 for the room!
Great location for a visit to our daughter at Manchester University who's accommodation is in Fallowfields. It is a clean and comfortable hotel with a good buffet breakfast.
Nothing, but not in the centre of Manchester.
The staff and facilities were good. Would stay there again. Good location with city center close by and the famous wilmslow road close by.
The room we had, wasnt entirely clean. There were towels on the dressing table and the toilet needed cleaning.
Decor. Staff very helpful and polite whatever the issue
Steps up to reception. Stairs inside and up to bedrooms. No lifts. Food well presented but in some cases tasteless, others inedible. 5 meals refunded.
There was no lift and found it hard as we had a young child with a buggy
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The room and the corridor smelled of mould and felt damp. This forced me to sleep with open window and be cold all night. Room had very tired look, clean but it need a lot of repairs. Bathroom shower no matter what effort one makes leaks uncontrollably on the floor resulting mini lake on the middle of the bathroom floor! Breakfast had very limited cold buffet and the hot buffet was swimming in oil, the fried eggs were left under hot lamp as a result there were as hard as a shoe sole as well as covered in oil! So I’ve paid £10 for toast and yogurt. With that in mind did everything possible to avoid the restaurant for dinner. The building although old is beautiful and has so much potential but evidently that is not on priority list for Best Western.
Our granddaughter had just moved into student accommodation and the hotel was close by. Wide variety of places to eat and drink on the doorstep, excellent bus service to and from city centre. Staff friendly and helpful. Would stay again.
The bed - was quite hard and uncomfortable. Difficult to get to sleep so quite tired by the end of our stay. Should invest in beds like the Premier Inn have!
Good restaurant and helpful staff
very small room
Not far from central city
The staff were lovely and the accommodation was very comfortable and clean, food great too. We had a lovely stay and will certainly be back.
I'm not keen on air conditioning at the dining table. However the staff were very nice and turned it off at our request.
lovely breakfast and staff
room very small
