Good location and secure car park
Waiting time at reception
hotel is located close to bus stops .
THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN AND CLEANED < THE BATHROOMS ARE DIRTY < ONE has to place the bathtub and sink stopper on before leaving the room due to nasty smell coming in from drainpipes - it is awful - carpets in rooms are dirty , carpets on corridor is dirty -- the decor is UGLY -- no elevator in the bldg . Only reason i did not leave on my first night is because it is a 3 mins walk to where I went to visit each day . By U.S standards this is sure considered a DUMP !! hopefully i do not have to stay there again , and hopefully - no one will !
Not up to the usual Best Western standard Mix up with room allocation Breakfast of Saturday was not as good as usual. Arrived on Friday around 7.pm not a friendly welcome and my room was allocated to someone else how checked in after me. As a solo traveller this did not inspire confidence
Location is good, just take bus about 10 min to city centre.
Hotel is quite tired. Ceiling, wall and floor are very thin, it is very noisy and I could not sleep properly. No lift ! Do not recommend if you travel with a large suitcase.
Comfortable, well appointed room with excellent service from friendly staff - and at a great price.
Friendly professional staff and good location. Great breakfast. Public areas such as the lounge and dining room were adequately presented. t.
Very noisy during night, from other residents. A dog was left in room next door whining and crying for its absent owners. Decor in stairwells needs attention.
All the staff were so friendly. Executive suite was fantastic and decorated beautifully. Breakfast was nice too. Continental consisted of meats and cheeses and pate. Welcome bucks fizz on entrance to breakfast.
Being 7 months pregnant i struggled with no lifts and reception up 2 flights of stairs with my bags and case. I didnt see the bag assistance notice on the car park but a well needed service in my situation. Doesnt reflect at all on the stay though. I enjoyed it there!
ok for the price
Watch out for the orange plastic cone at the front of the hotel its hiding a concrete post which was underneath the cone reported this I have not had a response as yet. There was no signage or warnings looking at the area it is not the first time this has been hit and it is obviously a hazard as there is significant damage to the tarmac and post be careful
great restaurant staff in evening
noise levels of sorting office next door; rusty radiator in bathroom not working; next to no wifi in room which was key reason for booking;
Provided decaf coffee as requested. Thanks
Too hot in room overnight. No air con control in room and couldn't open the window in the middle of the night.
Close to the Bridgewater Hospital Staff very pleasant
Breakfast was poor, fried eggs hard, bacon dry and tough
Bed was comfy, tea, coffee making facilities, but no fruit or green tea.
The noise from both outside and inside the hote.
- breakfast - parking
- very small room - loud noise from the hall way and room next door - reception lady when we arrived not quite friendly
Bar and meal prices excessive
Breakfast, staff were informative in relation to public transport when I arrived and wanted to make my way into town.
Had to call reception for tv remote, then had to make second call as I waited 15 mins. Toilet had a strong smell of dampness and flush was not working. Curtains were very dirty and required cleaning. On checking out keys were handed over and I was not asked if I enjoyed my stay, keys were taken from me with no conversation I felt I was an inconvenience and was quickly dismissed i was so disappointed I could not ask the staff to call me a taxi and travelled by bus to the rail station. I would not recommend this hotel to friends but somehow I do not think this would be an inconvenience to your company. My children paid for this trip as a birthday present and were hoping I would have enjoyed my break. I was not looking for special treatment however I was a paying guest and politeness costs very little, sadly I was not impressed.
The breakfast was GREAT!! The staff was friendly and professional. The room comfortable and quiet. Location convenient for Fallowfield and £1 bus to Manchester. Secure car parking very reassuring and convenient. I will stay again :)
The bedrooms are very 1980s decor but as the downstsirs has been refurbished I am sure this will be updated soon. The cleanliness could be better but the staff was great, the price reasonable and location good and so I wasn't that bothered... A good hotel!
Easy access to University where I was visiting my daughter
Bed was on wheels or castors and moved around too much as was very lightweight. Minimal toiletries and a shower that soaked the floor so that we had to use our towels to dry it for safety.
The Friendly Staff - The excellent Breakfast and is in a handy area for The Christie's
The Hotel looks very, very tired and could do with a good overhaul ! -
Close to the things we needed. Superior room was lovely BUT ...
The room - a superior one - apparently was located above the boiler room and so was very hot ... even for November. We were not able to cool it off, even with the windows open (and so the noise levels were high). We sweltered in what was otherwise a lovely room.
room was adequate size, telly worked, bathroom good, wifi available free.
think i was near the laundry or bins so when window was open there was a bit of yukky smell, but closing window sorted that.
Car park, comfy bed, good TV, nice room.
Appalling shower. Electric, not enough power to keep element cooled, so would oscillate from hot to freezing, even with it on high power and coldest setting. Wrong shower for the water pressure.
We were given a suite.Room was so spacious and comfortable. Bus stops just outside the gate. Close to everything.
Happy to say that there was nothing we didn't like.
Great location for bus into Manchester city centre. Friendly staff. Large comfortable beds. Excellent wi-fi
Bar meals took a long time to arrive. Breakfast service seemed understaffed for a busy weekend
