hostel style standard, bed and bunk style.
so far so good, toilet is bit chilled in winter
Wasn't peak season, so ended up with a whole 8-bed room to myself. Awesome staff - very friendly and made fabulous recommendations on where to go. I was planning on storing my bags at the bus station (1-2 GBP depending on locker size) as most hostels charged money, but they readily helped me with that. Even told me to come back after my day and hang around in the lounge before heading off for my overnight bus. All that hospitality and they didn't charge a single penny! Not to mention the great location, less than 5 minutes from both the bus and train stations. Will definitely come back!
Only one bathroom for family and females, might be problematic at peak seasons.
Everything about the hostel!
Great value, very central.
Friendly staff member. Free wifi. Comfy bed. Clean and safe. Colourful decor, very quirky. Communal kitchen/TV/internet facilities.
My room looked out onto main high street in Stirling so quite a bit of noise from people coming in and out of club across the road.
Friendly Inclusive Informative That we had a kitchen and could make our own food The tea and coffee The location
Street noise The screen in the window
good central location, value for money
bit cold at night
Excellent location. Staff were top notch. For a hostel, better service than some hotels. Did feel disappointed in room but that was my fault. Totally blonde moment when booking lol. Would recommend.
Just the fact it was a race to see who could get to toilet first as it was shared. Nothing else....
Leaving to come home
The 12 birth mixed room was an absolute tip, clothes all over evry inch of floor, wet towels tucked under matress of top bunks. I was put in room 2 "The Staff Room" and charged by booking.com £55 for 2 nights. All other people were only charged £15-£17 per night! Not one seconds sleep, windows left open and blinds too.
everything except street noise
Mixed dorms and washing facilities. A lack of lockers to put clothes in. Inadequate facilities for the numbers of residents. Rowdy drunken idiots who have forgotten their code for the door and repeatedly banging on the door and phoning reception when there clearly is no-one to answer. The worst stay in Stirling I have ever had.
The location is excellent, both the train and bus station are easily accessible from the hostel. The staff was friendly and helpful.
No breakfast, lived in the room with the hostel staff so it looked a bit overstuffed. The Internet connection was troubled at times.
Free tea! Friendly staff
Not very many showers
This hostel was great! The stuff was really friendly and nice! We were travelling for 14 days in England/Scotland and this was the best accommodation! Thanks a lot! :)
The friendly staff, even it was already 23:30 when I got there, one of them was still willing to help me to do check-in. (btw please remember to inform them in advance if you will be late) Its location is also fantastic! Just 3 min walk from Stirling railway station, and there are many shops and restaurants nearby.
If they served simple breakfast it would be better, it's not a big deal though.
I only really slept here and I found it adequate for my needs. Great location just yards from the train station and old town.
I thought that an extra shower facility would have been useful. Must be very long queues in busy periods.
Friendly Staff Always clean Helpful staff Very welcoming communal lounge Great kitchen facilities Felt like my second home
Water pressure in the showers could use a boost but that's it.
The wooden shutters on the window. It was sooooo hot in the room so we I opened the shutters at night to let air in but they also let the noise from the Saturday night drunken st below in and the light.
very cosy bedrooms and great lounge zone. nice music, nice piano, paintings and teacups :) gorgeous map at reception
bad wifi connection in bedroom, towels for 1 pound
Friendly, helpful staff. Locality - close to railway station.
Social friendly clean comfy welcoming. Would highly recommend staying here!!!
The place is very convenient to train station restaurants and historical landmarks. The staff is very friendly and the facilities are grear:) reqlly had a nice stay there.
- A bit expensive... It's a hostel, for god's sake!
The beds, just one shower, no breakfast.
