Myself and two friends were welcolmed very warmly by Derek & Rhianon. The hotel is very clean, comfortable and well run with Derek giving us the run down on all the local places to go. Our breakfast was prepared and presented superbly with everything cooked to perfection on a 'hot' plate. It was a pleasure to stay here and is great value for the money. One of my friends who came with me will return to Blackpool soon with his daughters and will stay again at The Wilmar....well done Derek and Rhianon!!

As we were going to the Pleasure Beach we arrived in Blackpool at 10:20 am. Once in Blackpool we phoned the Wilmar for directions. We were told how to find them and that Derek's car was parked outside, which he would move and let us park in his place. Also when we arrived we were told that as our rooms were ready we could book in straight away instead of having to wait until what would have been much later as we didn't leave the Pleasure Beach until 6pm. We were given a lovely welcome with a great cup of tea. Breakfast was delicious. A lovely little hotel with superb friendly owners.

Derek and Rhian who own the Wilmar couldn't be anymore helpful. Breakfast was superb and kept us going through most of the day. It's close to the seafront. We liked it so much that we will definately be returning to stay at the Wilmar. Thanks Derek and Rhian for a lovely stay, Amanda and Nigel

We were made to feel welcome before we even got there. Derek reserved a car parking space for us right outside the door. We arrived early as we were going to the pleasure beach for the day. Not a problem, we left our bag in the hotel and when we arrived back it was in our room waiting for us. Nothing was too much trouble for Derek and Rhianon. The food was excellent, and the hospitality was much more than we expected. I would definatley recommend this hotel and we will be back soon. Thanks for making our weekend such a pleasure.

Derek and Rioanne went out of their way to make Geraldine, the kids and myself most welcome. All that was missing was the red carpet. The breakfast was excellent with a wide selection all freshly cooked by the gourmet chef. We were made to feel like part of the family. The location is superb being so close to the beech and Theme park, especially with a three year old. If I could give it a rating of 11 I would. We enjoyed the stay and wished we could have stayed longer but work and school commitments put a stop to that, Would def think of booking again. Brilliant couple and supreb hotel. Will recommend to friends and family.

Derek and Rhian were fantastic hosts. We had a lovely cup of tea when we arrived along with a good chat. They had saved us a parking space outside the hotel which was really important to me as I don't like my car to be where I can't see it. Derek really looked after our needs booking us a table at a lovely greek restaurant and booking us a taxi. We'd definitely stay again. It is perfect for the beach, pleasure beach and the south pier.

I arrived at hotel and was greeted by Derek and Rhian who made me feel really welcome. I was upgraded from a single room to a double which was totally unexpected and made my stay that much more comfortable, I only wish I had time to stay longer! The breakfast was to die for, freshly cooked and served with a smile. There is a small bar which serves drinks at reasonable prices and if you like cocktails this is the place to stay, Rhian is a natural with the cocktail shaker. All in all a great hotel and I would definitely recommend it to my friends and I will be going back soon, get the cocktails ready Rhian!

When we booked to stop at The Wilmar we thought the reviews were too good to be true, upon arrival Derek and Rhian greeted us all like family provididng us all with a drink and warm hospitallity. We filled out forms with our details and what we would like for breakfast - which was a huge variety. Our room was the family room and was very spacious and comfortable, chocolates on our beds- even though the children ate ours before we has change. Bottled water was left with masses of tea and coffee sachets for us to make a brew. We found derek and Rhian provided an excellent service and couldnt do enough for us to make our weekend away enjoyable even down to providing two extra prizes for the raffle for the children .... :) all I can say is The Wilmar reviews are real and they deserve them Thank you for a wonderful weekend and see you next year !!!
