Myself and two friends were welcolmed very warmly by Derek & Rhianon. The hotel is very clean, comfortable and well run with Derek giving us the run down on all the local places to go. Our breakfast was prepared and presented superbly with everything cooked to perfection on a 'hot' plate. It was a pleasure to stay here and is great value for the money. One of my friends who came with me will return to Blackpool soon with his daughters and will stay again at The Wilmar....well done Derek and Rhianon!!

It was very clean. The proprietors were very friendly. It was central and there was free on street parking. The en suite was a bit small especially for a family of 4.

Derek & Rhianne are very welcoming & accomodating,Derek even moved his car so i could park outside. Breakfasts were lovely, nothing was too much trouble. Location was brilliant, just over the road from Pleasure Beach so don't make the same mistake as me & pre book the Pleasure beach car park!! Pablo,s fish & chip restaurant has the best fish i have ever tasted!! It is also within walking distance from The Wilmar. We really enjoyed our stay & would definitely go back(If the bunk beds are reinforced!!)lol The hike up the stairs.lol The shower is small. Had to pay for new bunks before i left as my daughter accidentally broke the bottom one, most places have insurance to cover damages so i was'nt happy to find that they had a high excess charge which would'nt cover the costs,so it was'nt a good end to our holiday. The area it's in is a little rough,i was approached by people from nearby hostels/flats?Asking me for cigarettes when i was sat in my car,was a little intimidating.

When we booked to stop at The Wilmar we thought the reviews were too good to be true, upon arrival Derek and Rhian greeted us all like family provididng us all with a drink and warm hospitallity. We filled out forms with our details and what we would like for breakfast - which was a huge variety. Our room was the family room and was very spacious and comfortable, chocolates on our beds- even though the children ate ours before we has change. Bottled water was left with masses of tea and coffee sachets for us to make a brew. We found derek and Rhian provided an excellent service and couldnt do enough for us to make our weekend away enjoyable even down to providing two extra prizes for the raffle for the children .... :) all I can say is The Wilmar reviews are real and they deserve them Thank you for a wonderful weekend and see you next year !!!

Very friendly couple, Derek and Rhian, nothing too much trouble, looked after my wife, my two young sons and myself with a smile. One of the best holidays I've had in Blackpool and I have been going there for the last 40 + years.........Before you book give them a phone and see for yourself how friendly they are...... We didn't stay long enough, next time we will book for two weeks.....

Derek and his wife were very welcoming. The location next to the pleasure beach and the sandcastle were perfect for older kids. Rooms although clean were a little small, but as we were only there to sleep, they were fine.

Where do I start! What a fantastic guesthouse. A very warm and friendly welcome from our hosts Derek and Rhianon with a most appreciated cuppa and soft drinks on arrival, a chance to unwind after our journey. We stayed in the family room en-suite which was perfectly clean with chocs on the pillow, really nice touch! With bottled water and plenty of tea and coffee to make a warm drink during our stay if we wanted to. My family even commented on how comfortable and clean the beds were. The breakfasts are second to none, certainly enough for the heartiest of appetites. The warm and friendly hospitality continued throughout our stay and to say we had never met Derek and Rhianon before they made my family and I feel at home from the moment we arrived, nothing was to much trouble, even recommending somewhere to eat and giving us 2 for 1 tickets for sealife. We may have arrived as strangers but certainly left as friends. Would we return? A resounding 100% yes and I would recommend the Wilmar to anyone, in fact I already have. Thank you Derek and Rhianon for an amazing stay, we all hope to see you real soon.

We had a great stay at the Wilmar! Great location, literally a 2 minute walk from pleasure beach and the Sandcastle. Our room was perfect and the breakfast was superb. Derek and Rhiannon were fantastic, very friendly couple and they made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble for them. We are even looking at booking the Wilmar again in October. Thanks Derek and Rhiannon for a wonderful stay. Hope to see you again soon!
