Hotel was nice and clean. Excellent location for a stop over for Manchester airport.
Bathroom was a bit of a let down compared to the standard of the rest of the hotel but it was still clean and served its purpose
This is easy access to the middle of Wilmslow, but a fair trek from the station if you're on foot. We had a ground floor room at the rear facing woods. It was quiet. There were four pillows in all (nice change not to have to have to ask for extra). The bed was huge. The room was very clean and fresh. Everything worked, hairdryer, kettle and AirCon. Didn't try the iron. The shower was excellent. The staff, who also staffed the pub, were friendly and helpful. The pub next door (there is a covered walkway) did excellent food and a good range of red wines.
We had two bath towels (large and fluffy) on arrival, but maid only left one on subsequent days, we had to ask for another each day. There is no parking reserved for hotel guests, we arrived on a Saturday evening and were lucky to get a space. There is a public car park nearby, and a road down the side of the pub with a single yellow line that could be used for 'out of hours' parking if pushed. In our room the hook on the back of the bathroom door was missing. Don't forget your toiletries, the ones supplied are basic at best.
Very good quality comfortable beds
Location - ideally suited our purpose
No breakfast included in the price
Great location, great breakfast. Lovely staff.
Very, very basic room & facilities. Probably even less facilities compared to a Travelodge.
Great location and lovely for a weekend stay. Pub attached to the hotel has great food, cosy atmosphere and friendly staff.
I booked the hotel in July for a November stay and booked a twin room for myself and my Mum. On arrival at the hotel we were booked into a double room, which didn't impress us and as they were fully booked we had to make do. We have stayed in this hotel every November for the past 9 years, it has happened once before so I'm not sure why we don't get what was booked.
Nice room and facilities.
Lumpy pillow Un-manned reception Breakfast was ok but not much choice - only white bread (no other choice), only orange juice (no other choice) etc..
Room door did not close properly so anybody could walk in to the room. Lack of draws and storage space.
Location, good price, large room, comfy bed.
No toiletries, water in shower wasn't very hot.
Location was close for my meetings
Bathroom smelt of super strong bleach/ disinfectant No staff at reception in morning (06h30) Staff not very friendly or efficient. Wobbly bed (side to side)
We used, this hotel as a base as we were visiting Chester & Manchester. The hotel was in a good location for easy access to the motorway but far enough away for a quiet nights sleep. The highlight was the food in the Coach & Four pub next door great food & staff was very happy overall with the dinners, the fried breakfast was OK but not great. But would recommend, we would also book again.
Comfortable and clean hotel with friendly staff and a great restaurant/pub adjoining. Free parking and wifi.
Large, quiet room. Very comfortable and clean. Large desk in the room - would suit business travellers. Free parking in car park next to the hotel. Excellent cooked breakfast - very good value.
Helpful friendly staff. Good value breakfast.
The staff were helpful and friendly. The location is right in the High Street by shops and super market. Good breakfast in the associated pub was included.
The room only had an electric space heater. We were told that they don't turn on the heat until later in the season. We stayed on October 5th. There was no fridge. The bathroom door didn't close properly. Maybe alll this is just typical for English hotels. Hope not.
Everything else was exceptional. Very nice lodge/hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay.
Bathroom could be a little cleaner, needs a refurb if im honest.
Best bed I have ever slept on....and I have back problems! Used this as a quick nights sleep before a very early airport flight (£12 taxi ride away). Porter very kindly allowed us to park all weekend whilst we were away. Highly recommended!
Nothing not to like.
The staff are friendly and were particularly helpful in finding me a cab when the one I had ordered didn't turn up. The rooms are quite large and comfortable but don't have a lot of character. The pub across the yard is friendly but you don't hear the noise from the hotel.
A very loud fire alarm went off at about 3am and I never really got back to sleep. It only went on for a few seconds but I was wide awake afterwards. It went of again a couple of times about 6am. Should have raised it with the staff.
Train Station , Taxi very good value. Lodge separate from Pub which reduces noise level. Needs a safe, face cloths & Two small towels in each room.
Central location, great pub next door, fab car park, spacious room, large bed.
No twin beds. Had to share a bed with my friend. No one manning reception.
Location, room size, comfortable bed, water pressure and temperature
Noise from other rooms, temperature of room on arrival, stained sink, slow and noisy kettle
Clean quiet rooms
Wifi wasn't working as advertised
good sized room (and bed) comfortable and nicely furnished Food in the restaurant was lovely with a much wider choice than you might expect Staff in the hotel section and the pub/restaurant were all very pleasant and helpful
Situated in the centre of wilmslow and ideal for M&S in Handforth Dean.
Just a short drive to the airport early next morning
Problems with Sat Nav directions using post code went miles out of the way
