Location Size of bedroom Comfortable bed Good breakfast
The accommodation and breakfasts were superb. The spectacular walk from there down through the woodland and along the banks of the salmon river Lynn to Lynmouth via Watersmeet was awesome.
location very good. food out standing, pool we used it when we wanted, Richard & Jane were friendly and informative .
N / A
We loved the relaxed feel of the place, nothing seemed too much trouble to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The house and surroundings are beautiful, and for us to be able to walk from the door into stunning countryside was a great plus. Good local eateries for evening meals are close by. We returned home refreshed and relaxed at the end of our stay.
There was nothing about our stay that we didn't like.
Smashing place to stay to get away from it all, relaxing, peaceful. Lovely walks pubs close by.
Richard was most helpful and attentive.
The no door lock policy with all doors being slam shut meant other residents' comings and goings were sometimes disturbing - especially if they were early risers or late returners. A minor gripe, but important to us.
friendliness, peacefulness, great place to get away from it all
Relaxed and laid back atmosphere, the view and the pool. Very comfy bed and lovely breakfast.
Nothing to dislike
Scenery Comfort Food Welcome
Single track road with no passing places to get there!
Clean, friendly, with a lovely pool. Excellent breakfast.
Breakfast between 8.30 and 9. Would have liked a slightly more flexible time, but did not spoil stay.
Everything ,pool was great scenery was superb, and the hosts were excellent .
Friendly, helpful staff. Fantastic farmhouse breakfast. Comfortable cosy beds, Peaceful, relaxing surroundings.
No locks on room door!
The views, friendly hosts, nice rooms, great breakfasts.
Views and flapjacks!!
Please be aware that on vodaphone there is no signal at all !! Also Sat Nav takes you down a one car wide track and stops half way, this is the right road just follow it to the bottom, very steep and narrow !
This was a charming place tucked away in the Devon country side. The rooms were immaculate, large and spacious with extremely comfortable beds. The breakfast was hearty and home made, nothing fancy, which was fine with us. The hosts were accommodating and left to to your own devices. If you want to explore the countryside away from the hustle and bustle from tourists and amazing scenery, this would be the place to stay.
The place wasn't easy to find and isn't easy to get to. We knew this already so it's doesn't affect our satisfaction with our stay. However, you definitely need your own transport to get here (taxi would be astronomically expensive) and make sure to look at the map on booking.com
Location; peace and quiet; the genial host; swimming pool; lovely breakfast
5 Star everything - nothing could have been better.
Nothing to dislike
The hospitality and service was impeccable, the breakfast is huge and wonderfully cooked. Nothing is too much trouble. Would recommend to anyone
Location and friendliness of the owner
Very hard bed and the bedroom and ensuite were not thoroughly cleaned being dusty and having a lot of cobwebs
Great location, close to national park, easy to get to the beach. Excellent stay with fantastic cooked breakfasts each morning, the view from the farm is just stunning! My son enjoyed watching wild ducks, rabbits and horses each morning. Jane's stewed plums and flap jacks are truly amazing... We had a great time and absolutely enjoyed our stay.
A fantastic location, very quiet and peaceful. We were made to feel welcome by Richard, the proprietor, we only stayed for 2 nights but would love to stay for longer. The breakfast was excellent- very large portions (too large for some) and very good quality food. Highly recommended for a quiet break and good walking close by.
Fantastic location, comfy spacious room The owners couldn't do enough for us made to feel very welcome Breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend staying here.
Absolutely loved the place. Was immediately made to feel welcome by Richard, who helped with bags, showed us around and then left us to it. Breakfast was lovely and relaxed, and all the food etc were top drawer. Location was spectacular, and as a long distance runner, I couldn't have asked for more challenging and adventurous surrounds to explore. Whole place had a homely feel to it, and was very sad to leave!
Not so much a didn't like, but an area where I feel you can improve, and thats the website photos! Though they are plentiful, I honestly don't think they do the place enough justice. The views are spectacular and also the proximity to other locations needs to be highlighted more as I think these are even more selling points about the place.
beautiful location. Richard and everyone at Wilsham farm were lovely. The breakfast was great and we were full for most of the day! Will be going back for sure.
