As the main purpose of our trip was to find my wife some cashmere, it was a great surprise to find that there is a well stocked and varied supply of cashmere in the shop attached to the farm.

The location and tranquility, so so quiet you could hear a pin drop. It was a lovely farm set into the countryside away from cars etc but within a very short distance to a country park and walled gardens. It had three lovely cats! The owners very helpful and pleasant we had a nice room with kingsize bed although no ensuite facilities we had a bathroom to ourselves at the end of the hall with a lovely cast iron bath in it but no shower.

We loved the peaceful rural location, yet it was very close to the facilities of Hawick. It was decorated and furnished in keeping with the age of the property (mid-Victorian) and the owners were quietly friendly. It did not actually matter to us, but we found the description 'private bathroom' confusing. It did not strike us that it was not en suite. We thought it meant it had a bath rather than just a shower. We did not care but someone else might.

The location suited us as we are also Farmers and enjoy peace and quiet, particularly at night. The accommodation was lovely and warm and spacious. We enjoyed the Victorian bath. Breakfasts were well cooked and well presented by the Proprietess. The Owners were friendly and pleasant and looked after us. We would highly recommend Wiltonburn Farm to anyone looking for a quiet, restful night in comfortable surroundings.

A lovely house at the end of a long winding road nestling in the foothills. It was one of the most peaceful locations imaginable. The family pets greeted us like old friends and the cat shared our Pringles.The room was spacious with lovely views over the garden and along the valley and we could sit in the garden with drink in the evening. The breakfast was excellent and kept us going all day

Our bed was very comfortable. Our bedroom was tastefully furnished. The proprietor Mrs.Shell was very helpful and friendly without being familiar. The breakfasts were delicious. A delightful stay.

The location is superb, providing you have a car. The building is most attractive. The room we had was very clean and comfortable. The peace and stillness of the surroundings is striking and a real tonic if you come from the city. The service provided is attentive without being obtrusive.
